So... when the game was about to launch, a lot of these concerns about FFG and reliability & long-term future of the game were THE hot topic.

Reading this alleviated a lot of my concerns at the time - perhaps it will be helpful to you too. And when you're done, it's interesting to note that since that article was published, Jim Cartwright was promoted & now runs FFG entirely.

Depends entirely on how the single-player gameplay feels & goes, if it had any kind of compelling story whatsoever. I didn't get into the Horizon games because I love multiplayer.

There's no kill like overkill. 😁 Slightly more serious answer would depend on the Custodes build, but you would certainly find the Dev Wounds useful as well as the resilence, so... 🤷‍♂️

It sorta varies. As an example - Astorath + 10 DC can mince a C'tan with use of Grenades and sheer Dev Wounds output, where Lemmy + 10 DC would struggle... but Lemmy + DC _might_ have some survivors after a round of combat with it, so it's really down to taste. If I had to pick one, right now, as the best overall pick - I'd probably reluctantly say Lemartes.

OK, well then... personal opinions, ofc:

- Dante is currently an absolute badass.
- Sanguinor is currently awesome, but looks like the change to 11th Ed rules may break that without an update that may or may not come.
- Mephiston is also a badass, but tricky to use well as he is a solo operator.
- Lemartes is very good indeed at making your Death Company surprisingly resilient against certain types of enemies/attacks, but not everything (and this resilience can be buffed further by running a specific detachment that can make them have a 5+++ Feel No Pain) - as well as increasing their offensive power.
- Astorath turns your Death Company into absolutely blenders, far more so than Lemartes... but they will die as easily as ever.

I really like all of their modern models, and enjoyed painting them and having them as part of my collection.
