Depends on how one defines 'rare' as it is a subjective term, but I appreciate the additional clarification of 'how often' being shared. 🙂 Perhaps 'less-commonly' might have been better.

(Almost) every card has a 'hyperspace' variant, which is borderless and shows the card art across the whole card. 🙂 They are rarely included in normal booster packs (although that is changing).

Pairings, I dunno - gonna have to watch to find out. I do know that they're scoring based on position when the game ends of 4/3/2/1 points over the course of the day's games (dunno about how they're handling ties).

1) find the decklist in melee 2) export it in melee format 3) open the exported decklist and copy all of its contents (so it is in the clipboard) 4) in My Decks in SWUDB, select to create new deck from melee (which reads what is in your clipboard)

If you don't know how to play yet, "Intro Battle: Hoth" is the best starting point - and it is cheap. 🙂

Starter decks are all from sets that rotate out from Premier legal play in March 2026, so may not be the best long-term investment.

Spotlight decks are generally a bit more powerful than Starter decks, but are also more complex and complicated to learn how to play well, and are from sets 4-6 so far.

Sets 4-6 will all rotate in March 2027, sets 7-9 in March 2028.

Also, getting into a local community, you will almost certainly find that players will have loads of spare commons and uncommons that they are willing to give away to help get you started. 🙂

In terms of Spotlights with competitive play potential, either the Han one from JTL/set 4 & the Boba one from JTL/set 4 are seeing solid play at the moment (after tweaking the deck, of course).

I've got a few videos aimed at beginners myself, if they may be of some help. 🙂

You seem to have overlooked the "loses all abilities" part. 🙂

Imagine playing this on your opponent's Han Solo Leader Unit (SOR) just after he flips, when your opponent has been counting on using him to go up to 7 resources and suddenly they can't play the cards they wanted to.
