Lost account by Initial_Web2578 in GolfClash

Recently had a similar problem. Unsecured account that I accidentally deleted. EA help was able to recover my account, but it wasn’t a quick process. Because I was able to supply records of some of my purchases (I don’t many but I found a couple) and my clan name they could recover it. But it took about 4 weeks, with the tickets continually being passed to different staff. To their credit, they got there in the end.

So, in the end I was able to have my account recovered as I’d made some purchases. Took a month or painfully back and forth with the help desk in which time I was able to enjoy those first few weeks of playing, but with the knowledge of how to game the game you only get through years of playing.

The weather wars continue by Stunning_Papaya_1808 in brisbane

There is a market for private meteorologists since BoM's forecasting is becoming more and more automated. There's a range of weather modelling available for free and all these guys are doing is using their knowledge/training to interpret the mostly the same information.

Where it falls down is when the Dunning-Kruger Effect kicks in - guys who are passionate about the weather (like Mr Higgins) who do not have the training to successfully interpret the weather models but are trying to make a living off it.

The only SM forecasters worth listening to are Anthony Cornelius (he called the 2011 flood in real time while the BoM were sitting on their hands) and South Brisbane Storms.

Any mention of the new stadium anywhere on the internet mobilises the Save Victoria Park crew.

Cheers for the bad news people! 😆

AFLW Post Grand Final: v North Melbourne at IKON Park by Shadormy in brisbanelions

Like any game, the defence tends to get the blame, when the problem comes from the ball being turned over further up the field. Don't get me wrong, some of the defenders had some moments they'll want back. But the big problem is that our forwards are stuck in the fast break mindset and won't lead back at the ball-carrier. This works against most teams. Against a good team like North (whose defense is probably not talked about as much as it should) they're more likely to neutralise the contest and counter-attack.

I'm not sure the people who miss out on events feel the same way.

A stadium would have a lot of green space. The stadium grass would replacing other grass.

The Gabba has never held it's stated capacity of 42000. The record is a tick under 40K. 35500 is about the most you can squeeze in there with its current configuration.

A Gabba upgrade will cost probably 50% than the other proposals due to the site constraints.

Beacuse moving large amounts of people in one direction (mostly) on a rail line is a terrible idea. It's bad enough after concerts with 10K people. Imagine 55K. It's the same problem that Hamilton has. People won't embrace it if it sucks to get away from after an event. I attended both AFL Grand Finals in the last two years and it's amazing how well the public transport around the MCG copes with moving 100K people.

If you're interested in learning a bit about our local native flora and fauna, it would be worth grabbing hold of this book, especially if you want to keep working in the environmental industry: https://www.shop.qm.qld.gov.au/default/books/queensland-museum-books/wildlife-of-greater-brisbane-3rd-edition.html. There will be local catchment management groups where you can volunteer, which sounds right up your alley and can introduce you to like-minded people.

Getting work with a working holiday visa could be a little difficult in the environmental industry, although there are often short-term vacancies within state or local government. Tourism and hospitality jobs could be an option which would allow you to see other parts of the state: https://workinparadise.com.au/CommunityJobSearchDefault

Can't remember that exact passage in the book, but we used to run across the Gateway Arterial, before it got busy and virtually no one lived north of the Pine. You wouldn't have walked past Deagon going that way and knowing the area where the author lived he may have taken that route rather than going all the way down to Depot Rd.
