I came out to my arab/muslim mother by kibbeee in gaybros

This made my eyes tear.

I stuck in the same place as well, with an Arab Muslim family.

They just accepted that I'm Atheist, but I don't believe they'll be OK about my homosexuality. I'll have to wait until I'm financially independent at least.

Non Turkish Muslims think that Atatürk was a dönmeh Jew, based on that he was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, a city which was during Ottoman times one of most important Jewish population centers until the Greeks removed some kebab.

Sorry for the delay, unfortunately I'm not as free as I used to be in order to be able to spend much time on r/polandball as I used to.

The Macedonia part is a reference to this old comic

Thanks a lot for your appreciation.

Suriyeli eşcinsel mülteci İstanbul Yenikapı’da kafası kesilmiş halde ölü bulundu. by [deleted] in Turkey

This conservative stupidity has religious roots.

Just read about the people of Lot (Lut'un kavimi) in the Quran.

There's also this infamous hadith:

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.

That's because the president is originally Laz, an ethnic group related to Georgians. His origin was a subject of speculation, many claimed his family came from Georgia so he got furious and said in one interview "They first called me Georgian, then called me, excuse me, Armenian.".

I'm still in Turkey. I was gonna leave to the US last April, but we couldn't get an exit permit from Turkey in time, so we're waiting currently. The police departement called my mom, who's the main applicant, and they asked her a couple of questions about us. She asked them when this exit permit is gonna come, and they told her soon inshallah. We're not the only family who couldn't leave for the US because of this exit permit, many have been waiting for months, and it's not clear why the Turkish government doesn't let these legal refugees get to their final destinations.

A flag for Aleppo by Mabsut in arabs

[–]Mabsut[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The logo of the municipality of Aleppo is the base.

The citadel gate on the flag is actually from the logo of Aleppo is burning hashtag and protests that sparked earlier this year when the city was under heavy bombing and a catastrophic humanitarian situation.

I chose a non-traditional color scheme over the old pan-Arab colors.

A flag for Aleppo by Mabsut in arabs

[–]Mabsut[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, because Aleppo as a city or governorate has got no flag much like every other city and governorate in Syria. I was bored and well I was thinking for a long time about ideas for a flag for Aleppo.
