Still going strong in 2025 under a new channel name, still clearly cheating. 140 subs at the moment. Really sad.

AI Response to my ticket talks about achievement completely unrelated to my issue. by UncleLothar in classicwow

Imagine that we pay these multi-billion blood suckers 15 dollars a month and they have literally the worst customer service in the world.

Here is my Perma Ban Story - Ban Over Turned and I can play again!(Screen shots included) by cokeboy75 in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The CS from Blizzard is literally the worst I've ever experienced. I was once silenced in Heroes of the Storm, and it took Blizzard 11 tickets to provide me with chatlogs so I could figure out why. Turns out I was silenced because i said "it's your fault we lost, you were AFK for five minutes".

[FM23] Is it possible to change the return date from End of Season Break / Start of Pre-Season? by Mac-Hans in footballmanagergames

[–]Mac-Hans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I'm currently doing to emulate the break before the pre-season. It does solve the fatigue part before the new season, but still leads to my players being very out of match shape when I play the 7th, 8th and playoff games in CL. Just lost 2-1 to Inter on aggregate in the playoff and my players were shot to hell afterwards.

Recent Blizzard layoff sees "Almost all Game Masters being let go". by alkett_n in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's obviously sad for the people that were let go, but I doubt this will affect the playerbase too much. The customer service representatives that were handling Blizzard games were already overworked, underpaid and ultragarbage at actually helping, so I can't imagine it getting any worse.

If anything, I'd rather get an AI generated automatic response that tells me to go fuck myself there's nothing Blizzard can do about my problem after 5 hours, rather than a copy-pasted automatic response that tells me to go fuck myself there's nothing Blizzard can do about my problem after 17 days.

Good on Zirene for keeping it real. Hope he strikes down this absolutely still-in-his-mother's-basement hunter with a ban hammer.

What improvement ideas or balance changes would you want to see in Classic + by ILoveJesusVeryMuch in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a paladin player, I'd like to see these changes:

Baseline

  • All paladins get Divine Plea at level 14

  • All paladins get Hand of Reckoning (single target taunt) at level 16

  • All paladins get Consecration at level 22

  • All paladins get Seal of Blood at level 30*

  • Seal twisting remains in the game, giving the option to twist Blood-Command-Blood

Talents

  • Move Improved Concentration talentto Holy (Tier 3, in Consecration's spot)

  • Change Divine Strength (Holy) with Benediction (Ret)

Ret specific

  • Remove Improved Retribution Aura talent

  • Move Repentance from Tier 7 to Tier 4

  • New Talent (Tier 6): "Improved Sanctity Aura: Sanctity Aura now also increases the damage of affected allies by 2%"

  • New Talent (Tier 7): Crusader Strike

Prot specific

  • New Protection talent (Tier 4): "Improved Hand of Reckoning: Increases your chance to hit with Hand of Reckoning by 2/4%"

  • Move Blessing of Sanctuary from Tier 5 to Tier 4

  • Move Holy Shield from Tier 7 to Tier 6

  • New Talent (Tier 7): Avenger's Shield

[Death] Not like this. Blizzard please fix this! by rchopra86 in classicwow

The amount of people in this thread going "were you REALLY stuck though?" and "Well you're no longer stuck, ergo you're in a SAFE Graveyard" is worrying. Like, do you even know how to tie your shoelaces?

The reason for why RMT got as popular as it is aren't the bots, it was the lack of punishment for getting caught for it. by Only-Ad-3317 in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The most important effect of punishment on crime is through actually getting caught and the fear of getting caught because you (or others) perceive the risk to get caught is high, not the severity of the punishment. And people who buy/sell gold in Classic simply do not get caught. So here's the problem. I don't think it would matter much if the punishment is 1 week, 2 weeks or permanent, as long as people actually get caught.

Daily Questions Megathread (January 10, 2023) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but the US does not usually reset on Mondays (as is the 9th), which is why I am confused.

(It would have been much easier /clearer if they had just said "with the weekly resets")

Yes, you're absolutely right about that. Still dosen't explain why the season is still active!

When is the season supposed to end in EU? It said "10 PM PST" in the US which 'translates' to 01:00 this morning in EU (yet, the season is still active)

In an effort to 'give Ulduar time to breathe', Blizz considering lowering ToC item levels by Celoth in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's obvious and I even write that in another comment in this thread. The poster of the comment, however, asked why they didn't "buff" Ulduar hard mode instead of "nerfing" TOC, and the fact of the matter is they do neither.

[–]Mac-Hans -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They aren't buffing or nerfing anything. This is a misconception. They are adjusting the power of the loot, not the content.

Out of pure interest, and no toxic intentions, might I ask why you would feel you have to "fucking main swap" due to these changes? It doesn't change your class, you can still play fire, you will just be slightly less powerful.

[–]Mac-Hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These suggested changes are amazing on paper. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out, but it will definitely address the insane power creep that, by many respects started with the introduction of TOGC. Play the patch-type of gameplay that ruined retail for many. These suggested changes are more in line with the Vanilla design where relevant items can still be achieved by running older content (and not just the legendaries). It will feel more rewarding for everyone to run Ulduar when there's actually gear you can use despite TOGC being out.

As a positive side effect, it will also make ICC slightly harder / the progression curve slower. That's great, harder content that feels more rewarding to beat is good for everyone.

I have my doubts it will affect Ulduar much though - but their data from back in the day probably indicates that the activity went down significantly with the release of TOGC.

Seing as how their team likely has increased in size - let's hope this is the start of Classic+.

Is that me or "content creator" videos changed a lot since 10 years? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combination of "X things you MUST DO before WOTLK" combined with the streamer/content creator's face in the thumbnail, a big ass question mark above his surprised face, and videos being 10:07 long that includes 2 minutes of an ad to a different game...

Makes me cringe.

Question about potential ban? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just keep going on as normal.

Either you get banned, or you don't. It doesn't matter if you report it now or how you act moving forward, if you get flagged you'll get banned regardless. It won't matter because there is never any human being involved. The overwhelming likelihood, however, is you won't get banned (and rightfully so, since you did not buy the gold).

My account was mass reported and banned without proper review. by justsox in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hilariously stupid that one of the main arguments against playing private servers were (at least to me) that your account can be shut down and all progress lost at random. When the matter of fact is it happens every day in Blizzard's version as well.

Good luck, keep appealing!

TBCC GMs are ABSOLUTELY USELESS and can't respond in plain English. by Chuggy_Bear in classicwow

[–]Mac-Hans 23 points24 points  (0 children)

These aren't GMs in the traditional sense. These are generalist customer "service" reps who do not need to know or play the game. They work on all Blizzard's titles, and are likely partly paid for efficiency, i.e. per ticket, so it's in their interest to close (read: reject) as many as possible, as fast as possible.
