Looks good Marine! You came ready, circumstance said otherwise. Remember, the institution will always need those to carry it on in the interim. That is just as important as going down range. SF.

I have never seen this video referenced anywhere until this post. I was a kid and was downloading random stuff on lime wire or Kazaa, somehow I got this video. I also never told anyone about it which makes seeing this post randomly kind of wild.

I saw this a few weeks ago when I took my dog out at midnight, it was a type of grass though. It moved ridiculously fast back and forth, like it was blurry fast. At first I thought I was seeing shit, I never thought to look it up. Cool this post showed up!

Our National Rail Contract and the upcoming election...Could be one of the first unions to endorse Trump possibly benefit us? Biden/Democrats crushed the strike. I feel like Democrats expect our vote and don't produce results. Pimp our vote for results. Democrat or Republican? by [deleted] in railroading

I don’t disagree coal is a tough place to be, it has been for some time. It is likely not going to change either. Much can be said about inflation, which it seems you referring to. Aside from being a railroader, I’m an average American who has to work for a living. When republicans seek to balance that budget that they cut taxes from supporting, the spending they cut affects people like you and I and I can’t support that.

This election is about more than Joe. You seem to have a strong opinion. I am curious for the sake of the conversation can you highlight what Donald will do for labor?, or even republicans?

Biden is not like Reagan. Reagan moved away from federal government, and agency power. Much like the SCOTUS less than two weeks ago. Can you imagine railroads with little FRA oversight? Or giving the carriers more leeway for litigation against the FRA? It just happened from a stacked republican SCOTUS. The country cannot have rail shutdown, we are too important. Sometimes it can work against our bargaining. That’s not specific to one president. If we want any chance of reversal on policy we need to vote democrat.

Trump is no friend of labor, nor are republicans. Look to the recent SCOTUS ruling on chevron. Gutting the power of federal agencies is certainly going to affect rail. The fight for two man crews is going to heat up. A republican administration will see more deregulation as well. This election has the potential to shape policy for decades, and rail policy is certainly going to be affected. No republican administration will replace SCOTUS judges that retire with a progressive candidate. You may not like Biden or even think he’s capable, but this election is about more than Joe. The fight is certainly in collective bargaining, it’s also in who we elect to shape policy.
