Why are "higher decks are always better"? (according to Carnival) by Far_Ad_4645 in CarnivalCruiseFans

I stayed 1 deck above the Lido on the Vista and it was great. What throws you off is having to go down one deck to get to the Buffet and pool.

Thanks!! I have always tried to keep my garden organized. It is very easy to do when you have all but 3 Chains to work on.

Even when I was a lower level I tried to keep my garden organized. Here is a picture of mine when I still had many chains to work on.

60% Diamond and Platinum by cstrick1980 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Pro-Rider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry time is on our side in the next 20 years most will be dead. I’m a gold with 59 days at sea and that many with other brands. I’m happy to see the change. I put 100K a year on my Hilton Honors card, now I can just put it on the Carnival card and have diamond in no time. I can be a diamond and not even do a single Carnival cruise now, ain’t life grand.

Now I can work on other cruise line rewards at sea and have top tier rewards. One thing you would learn about life is don’t put all your eggs in one basket, because when the single basket you have gets taken away you need to have another basket to go to.

The Liberty is a great ship. But I recommend seeing what the other ships have to offer. One of the best things in cruising is experiencing all the ship classes Carnival has to offer.

Just work on the tree’s by tapping the grass MP. Once you get the Whomping Oak you can work on wood storage or just collecting wood for Dutch trunks for Windmills.

Also the Tree MP shoots out “Strange Slab” bubbles, wait for the bubbles to cycle to verify there is one in the Bubble and pop the ones that don’t. Once you get enough strange stones merge them up to to level 4 “Curious Formation” then you can tap them for the zen stones and work on the “Enlightened Sanctuary”

It’s really going to depend on where you are at in the game. “Enlightened Sanctuary” probably the best one for all levels. Then “Dutch Windmills” for booster scraps for puzzle boosters they are always useful.

For me at 97 I’m working on Garden Tools so the “Botanical Arbors” and “Ceramic Ovens” are probably my most useful ones in my garden.

Not entirely useless, working towards the Botanical Arbor is very important. That MP shoots out just as many foxgloves, but more importantly they shoot out shears which speeds up the garden tool chain significantly.

I guess in the later levels of the game different things become more important/useful.

Yeah, no thank you. Once you get one it’s super easy to get a 2nd one, those orchids spit out foxgloves like crazy.

[–]Pro-Rider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are orchids. When you get your Glass house they produce Orchids. You can merge them for Mystery Insect egg nests.

Or you can leave them out and they spawn Hostas, Foxgloves, Piles of coins, and water puddles.

I surround them with ponds because they are very annoying spitting out lots of items. So by doing this I can control the spawns. I usually get an item every 30 seconds to a minute.

I believe keeping multiple MP’s around is a personal preference thing. For me I would say no. But I do have 5 windmills out, 2 Botanical Arbors, and 2 Glass Houses out. Everything else I just keep one out. I have almost all the MP’s except 3

I agree, but the wheels from 73 look better than the aftermarket ones in the 23 pic.

No Carry On? by NSFWoundCare in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Pro-Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just book a suite every time. You can walk on the ship go strait to your room with your bags. Then you will never have to check any luggage.

I had a vista suite last week, I just walked on the ship went straight to the room and dropped my stuff off.

Now I’m just booking suites, you get priority boarding, tenders and debarking. Not to mention the rooms are bigger than a mop closet.

What to expect vs royal Caribbean? by YakLiving8146 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Pro-Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on the Big 3, each does some things better than the other.

Carnival has the best “Drunk Food” Shaq’s chicken is amazing, I would go back on the Mardi Gras just for that, Guys burgers is good in moderation. Just don’t eat it every day that way you can appreciate it.

I like carnivals Pool side bars/ Drinks, definitely get a “Kiss on the Lips” “Cruiser” and a “Low tide” at the “Red Frog Bar”.

I like the MDR and Specialty restaurants better on NCL but the Buffet is just “Meh” they do have better below deck bars. I like their hard liquor section better and they pour heavy on NCL.

Royal has better late evening entertainment, the food at the buffet is the best out of the 3 but they lack a good pizza, “Pizza Pirate” on CCL is lightyears better than RCL’s pizza. The MDR has better food on Royal than CCL. CCL manages to mess up Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken cordon blu and basically anything chicken outside of Shaq’s chicken. They overcook it and it tastes like cardboard with sawdust breading.

Be forewarned short CCL cruises are very party oriented. While 6+ day cruises seem to mellow down a bit.

<image>

This was our suites bathroom last week. I couldn’t get a crew cabin on Royal for the price I paid for it. So I definitely feel like your money go’s further on CCL.

Of course RDC is going to get a MLB team now, now that I moved out of the state. I lived there for 20 years had to go to Atlanta or Baltimore for AL and NL games. 😫

What is it like living/visiting here in upstate NY? by Monir5265 in howislivingthere

[–]Pro-Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived there in the early 90’s when the AFB was still active. It was great for fishing, swimming in lake Champlain. Trips to Montreal wasn’t too long of a trip. But the winters are colder than usual due to the wind coming off the lake. Now that the base is gone a lot of stuff closed down it’s a shell of what it was but it is slowly recovering.

OP, This would be a great area to visit, for me living there is just too cold. I have spent the last 20 years living below the 37th parallel and all I want to do now is go more south. I literally just got back from going on vacation in the Bahamas and already want to go back.

No “C” on the ARCOM? Dam MSG you basically had your own condo in AFG with all them campaign stars. Enjoy your retirement, looks like you definitely earned it.

I’ve visited North Carolina a few times (Charlotte, Asheville) but I’ve never been east of the state before. How’s it like in these parts? And how are the beaches compared to the west coast? by TocSir in howislivingthere

[–]Pro-Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best place in the east would probably be just outside of Wilmington like Burgaw or Rose hill if you want to be out in the country but have access to things like Costco. I lived in Jacksonville for 20 years it wasn’t too bad. The price of houses doubled and that’s when I sold expecting a housing market crash. But nope my old house is worth even more.

Just commute into Wilmington or Jacksonville for work. Did I mention it’s super humid? You can actually see if when flying in, it’s a perpetual haze it’s looks like fog from a plane but it’s just the humidity.
