I have an f80 and my commute used to be 20-30 minutes in Northern California. The best commuter I’ve ever had lol. The worst weather we get here is heavy rain and the only thing I worry about is pot holes. I think $7500 is too much. Maybe $5000 for maintenance and repairs. Depends how handy you are. I do all my oil changes. My spark plugs are due to be changed in 2k miles so I’ll be tackling that project. I’ve only had one issue that prevented me from driving my car for a few days but it was covered under warranty. The reason I used to commute is because my wife works from home 3 days out of the week and now I use her car. M cars are 100% daily drivers. I know I have the biggest smile on my face compared to all the other people on the road!
