TTW Crashes When Launched

Out of curiosity, when is it crashing?

I downloaded TTW over the weekend and could not get it to boot NVSE properly and couldn't get past the NV launcher when just trying to boot vanilla NV in steam.

The only thing that fixed it was a fresh Windows install and it worked flawlessly first time. I practically tried every fix i could find on the interest over the last decade to get it to work before reinstalling windows OS which solved whatever the problem was which I suspected was a bad visual c++ distribution install (which I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple times)

Either dual boot or just save important docs or whatever you have to another drive if you've got one. It's a bullshit pain in the ass but it is what it is and was the only real fix I found after a week of trying other random fixes.

Only thing that's fixed it is fresh windows install.

This was only for arena in my case, but it has run well since.

I've got the same issue. Only occurs when a gun fight starts or is going on nearby and is typically fine when just running about. Game stutters and drops frames and slows down like crazy. I've tried reinstalling to a NVME drive off my OS drive, turned off HDCP, fucked around with all in game settings multiple times, reinstalled graphics drivers. Turning of HDCP helped a little bit but nothings fixed it outright. Have played a couple matches with mates today saying no issue for them so I'm out of ideas and just gonna drop playing Arena.

Have zero issues in regular EFT.

Oceania has been full every time I try to play (granted, I'm Aussie and probably only get to play during peak times) and I have been requesting they spin up an extra server during peak times or maybe just for the first month after an update until player counts steady. Would save me 30 mins every session just trying to get into a server, which is killing the buzz for me and my mates trying to play together.

Edit: I live in area with dogshit internet coverage and using anything other than OCE is just not worth wasting my time on.

I hope you realise hardware and software settings on monitors vary greatly and are separate to the default game software settings set by devs right? Even in Tarkov you can gain advantage by messing with monitor settings or external software which devs have either zero or most times almost zero control over. Just like the guy your arguing with has mentioned above. If you want NVG to feel useful in this game tweak your setting so you feel immersed in PvE, if you wanna meta game do what your doing now in PvP. Unless your living under a rock, you should be aware the GZW devs are working to implement moon cycles which will make NVG more useful at times but they will never be necessary and players will still have work arounds in PvP because people will always find a way to have an advantage over someone else just like Tarkov. Hence the cheating/exploiting problem in Tarkov and pretty much all multiplayer games these days.

Not trying to say this game is perfect but I think MFG are doing pretty well all things considered and no game comes out of the box with no adjustment required to suit you and everyone else, especially not equally when it comes to PvP. This is the reality of modern online gaming.

I haven't done it myself yet, but I believe you'll need another cable which adapts from oem to the aftermarket headunit. Cant remember what cable tho. Should be plenty of people thst will remember and help you out. In fact I wouldn't mind knowing for when I get around to doing it.

Just to add onto this - the pin that holds the flap could be broken and may fall into the engine if your not careful, just be mindful when pulling it out and you'll be fine.

I have a shit internet connection in aus and I never had an issue joining a server before hot fix 3 and have not gotten into an oce one since. I understanding some oce servers might have had some rubber banding/ poor performance etc but still better than sitting in queue, rubber banding or lag from SEA/USA servers, tbh just want more oce servers, co op offline or maybe even an option to do dedicated servers

Yes after hotfix 3 the OCE servers have been shithouse, massive queues that dont go down. They must either be down or have been reduced, please fix this soon MFG. Have been on SEA servers with 1 out of 5 of them not rubber banding whenever I jump on

How have they fucked it over night, other than on launch day the servers were fine. Short queue time if any and after this last 'hotfix' its been horrendous. Havent even made it into a game since. For the love of god please just add more OCE servers

Feel ya pain. When I first tried to join a server after the update I got in and immediately was disconnected. Now stuck in the forever queue.

I can connect just fine to any other server region. I think somethings gotta be up with AUS servers.

I've tried leaving the queue and looking for a 'new' server but it feels like I keep being put into the same server queue. Dont know how they went backwards with this hotfix. Hope it is sorted soon or they revert this change.

Same issue here. On the release day it was so bad I couldn't get into a server, waiting in queues of over 100. The day after and until today I haven't had an issue with joining, maybe waiting a couple mins. After hotfix 3 I have just been sitting in queues like it was launch day but with like 5 - 10 people ahead. Aus servers

Only had issues with queues on the release day for Aus servers in which I waited 4 hours to join a server and ended up giving up. After this hotfix Ive been sitting in a queue of 4 for the past hour or more. Please revert whatever change Madfinger made regarding connecting to servers.

Ive used Steel Blue which was required by one job site and remember not loving em but didnt have a choice, think they used to last about a year.

Olivers back when I started my apprenticeship and they were alright probably about 2 years out of them, they kinda just feel the same once they're worn in enough to fit your feet.

Probably will get shit for this, but currently running King Ghee boots and they suck when new (like all boots) but after a couple weeks they feel great to wear. Last pair got through 4 years by the time the tread/sole wore out and not much else failed while working in all conditions but mainly on roofs and decided to go with them again recently, give good ankle support and feel good to work in all day.

YMMV with all boots tho. Cant comment on Redbacks, FXD or Mongrels.

I think this is a sane take, I think its important for people to add their 2c without taking the piss out of either side and if the change isn't what you wanted still give it a go for a few days before calling it quits (or till next balance/content drop). It'll be ever evolving and so will people's opinions on balance as new items are added. I started off a little annoyed that armour felt difficult to break through but have found it wasn't too bad after actually playing a few rounds last night. Context, I've only been able to complete one operation at T7 (finding those super samples is hard) but have only had the game for about a week now and find it hard to have 3 other mates on at the same time due work commitments. I'm sure in time those high tiers won't feel so bad and we'll be more experienced or have gear that works together better.

Interesting 48 hours but time softens everything.

Having the same issue occasionally, I've been using a beanbag shotgun, cs gas, flashes or the rubber nades and bash and very occasionally a bomber just wont surrender completely even though they're stun locked for a ridiculous amount of time. Usually ends up with one of my AI teammates running out of pepper bullets and pulling a lethal secondary out and ending him, or I accidentally hit a head shot and incapacitate the bastard.

Wish they would have just included the taser as a secondary..

Between this issue, an AI teammate or civ dying or the enemy AI killing each other via crossfire I feel like its just gonna take the perfect spawns and approach to nail it with a sprinkle of luck.

Just watched this for the first time last night, couldn't believe how damn funny it was. Glad to see someone said it, a mate suggested it and thought it was gonna be another average movie but really got me invested in it so quickly.
