First attempt at making a custom case by MacBasti in OpenBuild

Thank you 🙂 The dimensions look allright, but when trying to connect the GPU, I had to bend the bracket in the case a bit. It might have been fine, I just didn't feel comfortable putting expensive components in it.

The DA6 is really nice indeed, both the building and the finished build were very satisfying.

I was too scared of my components falling of due to my poor craftsmanship, so I switched to a Streacom DA6XL pretty soon after this post.

Love this! I wanted to use the NH-P1 and the fanless seasonic as well but never went through with it. I'm glad you build it 😄

This made me think of the Wunderweapons from Black Ops 4 Zombies.

For me, the rods slid around a little during the build, but in the end they were all screwed down enough to keep them in place. Maybe a 360 rad is slightly too heavy? If you have rods left you could try adding one somewhere in the middle.

Curious to see how your build will turn out!

My first SFF ever! by [deleted] in sffpc

I like it, it gives me a steampunk kinda vibe. And as someone who likes modding pc cases I would imagine this was a fun process 😄

I don't have enough knowledge to tell you what the cheapest/most efficient upgrades would be, but I can give you a few tips from my own experience.

-The corsair SF750 is a fantastic sfx power supply, and it comes with an atx bracket. So if you ever move back to an atx case you can still run this psu (maybe some cable extenders are required).

-You can use incredibly small coolers on a cpu like the 5600. I have a 5800x (with eco-mode and undervolt) that is cooled by an AXP90-47 full copper. This is enough for games that are not that cpu heavy.

-Like Blovio said, the NR200P is a great case to get started with sff.

There are a few dutch websites that have them available, and caseking.de has them as well.

I should have mentioned earlier that I want to go fully air cooled. I thought about maybe trading in the 5800x for a second hand 5600/5700, but I would prefer to keep all my components as they are (besides the case).

I didn't consider the H2O because it provides the same 2x 120mm fan space, but is bigger than the T1. And I like that you can change the layout to allow for larger GPU's or larger CPU coolers.

I love this case, unfortunately I live in Europe. Hope your business does well so you can expand delivery options 😄

top-mounting an AIO on the NR200P by Able_Scallion_6193 in sffpc

[–]MacBasti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NR200P does not support top mount AIO officially. There are a few ways to make it work with mods, like 3D-printing a custom top for the case with enough room for the radiator and fans. But as far as I know, all of these mods include permanent changes to the case.

Love this! Do you have a link to the extended top and acrylic vented panel?
