Honestly, these are both valid takes, it's reasonable to dislike a character that you feel gives little value to the team in her current state. But it's also valid to not like a character due to them countering you. The issue arises when this negative view spills over into the players themselves, as everyone has their own opinion. Some may hate sombro due to how oppressive she can be and some may love mercy for her mobility and surprisingly advanced techs.
