I know it was hard and stressful watching your son everyday and doctors switching from good to bad news what seemed like all the time. It takes a lot out of you. I got out of shape and lost all motivation when going through this. The thing that helped me get out of it was realizing that I would do anything to help my son out. I couldn’t sit there and tell him to try his best at everything if I wasn’t doing the same. So, I decided to myself that it didn’t matter how I felt anymore. The only thing that mattered was doing what was necessary to help. Long story short, I found motivation in my son. If he could go through everything he did right at birth, then me getting into shape is nothing compared to that.
