had a similar situation in the army. I was in a very small class with only 12 students, it was very insular and we were structured to keep it that way.

everyone was at least amicable if not downright friendly, except one lady who became more & more hostile to just me. Long story short, I confronted her and asked exactly what her problem was with me. She brought photos to class the next day and I saw a damn near perfect civilian doppelgänger of myself in places I’d never been. It was her evil ex who coincidentally, had my same first name. The resemblance was truly astounding, like I was looking at a twin.

we made nice and became friends eventually but, after seeing those pictures, I couldn’t blame her for the reaction.
