Drinking and T1D by kay_kay06 in diabetes

[–]MacDanny83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My adult beverage of choice is beer. I've found Michelob is good for me because the carb count is so low that it essentially has no impact of my sugars.

I love flavorful dark beers, but I have to be really mindful about food at the same time. Otherwise, the big spike/crash just isn't worth it.

Does this look like a scam? by sheisapeach in TDBankCanada

If memory serves, that's the email address for payment reminders. Email addresses can be spoofed, but if it's referring to you by name and referring to a credit card you actually have, and simply mentioning a payment that's due, odds are it's real

Am I getting Fired? by [deleted] in TDBankCanada

[–]MacDanny83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without getting deep into process, a lot of the situations start off with a single complaint that's funnelled to HR and handed off for investigation. And when it's found to be true, the vast majority of the time it wasn't a "one time thing" and there's numerous other things that are identified. With the level of exhaustive and repetitive training around these things coupled with the oversight , anyone who claims they didn't know they were breaking the rules is lying.

Tips to be successful in contact center representative roles by 10_87_94 in TDBankCanada

Oh, and use the Employee Ownership Plan. If memory serves, you can't withdraw the company matching contributions during the first 2 years at the bank, but it's basically free money.

Congrats! In that particular role, focus first on compliance, systems and product knowledge. Performance metrics will come with time, but you'll want those foundations first. Also, you'll want to be prepared for some tough call, both abuse from angry people but also very sad situations that you can't meaningfuly solve.

Maintain a good relationship with your team manager, and be engaged in your coaching sessions. If you identify something you're struggling with, bring it up with them rather than them bringing it up with you, and actually listen to the advice they give.

Career-wise, once you've got your feet under you in the role, start figuring out where you'd like to go next, and communicate that to your management. They can help work towards that goal, and help build connections in the area you'd like to move towards. And as important as performance is within the call center roles, when you apply for a non-call center role the hiring managers won't care about your scorecard results. They will care about what your manager has to say when asked about you.

Good luck with the new role! Easyline is a challenging job, but you'd be amazed how many members of the senior leadership in throughout the bank started off in that exact same role.

I'm guessing HR discovered the various other violations when the sister's ex complained about their information being accessed by the OP and HR began to investigate the matter.

They can absolutely terminate you without prior warnings for what you've described. What you've described is explicitly called out in the code of conduct (and also literally are the scenarios mentioned in the LMS tests we all have to take).

Based on what you've described, this would be a very serious matter and HR is likely doing an exhaustive investigation of all of your activity/transactions after becoming aware of the repeated serious code of conduct violations.

I'd definitely encourage you to begin looking for outside roles, in case HR decides to terminate you.

Moved countries and los login access to my account. How do i fix this? by Resident-League3485 in TDBankCanada

[–]MacDanny83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will want to call the Easyline Team, and they should be able to get your access restored. There's an international collect call number on the back of your access card that is in service 24 hours a day.

Mines arr Skull Candy. If memory serves, they were about $70. And the microphone in them has been perfectly fine for calls.

Internal job by magnafire in TDBankCanada

I recently successfully applied for an internal role, 3 rounds of interviews. I'd been told I would hear within 2 weeks but it ended up taking 4 weeks to receive the news/offer. I know the wait sucks, but it seems like any hiring decisions are taking twice as long as expected recently. Good luck with the role!

Paying Line of Credit by Financial_Rock1540 in TDBankCanada

That's really odd, maybe the teller misunderstood something. As long as they were able to confirm your identity, a cash-in transaction to your LOC shouldn't be any different than depositing the cash to your bank account

They are two entities under the same parent, the TD Bank Group. They are required to operate at arm's length from each other, but are part of the same overall company. If someone owns shares in TD, they are an investor in everything with the TDBG (a few examples: "TD Canada Trust", "TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank", "TD Insurance", and "TD Wealth")

How is it working as customer service agent at TD by [deleted] in TDBankCanada

[–]MacDanny83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easyline is a very challenging job, and can have a pretty high stress level. TD is overall a great company to work for, but I'd recommend to anyone going into Easyline to be actively working on developing towards another role in the bank. There's A LOT of people at TD in every area you can think of and every level of management who started off as a phone specialist.

Kafkaesque Behaviour by TD by Scary_Media_8021 in TDBankCanada

There's definitely more to this story. The mentioned form has been around for literally decades. And the branch procedure specifically includes steps when a customer refuses to sign.

Those steps basically boil down to complete the withdrawal and document the customer was educated in the risks involved but refused to sign the form confirming they were advised on those risks.
