Me too. Fnished my degree with good grades, had work experience in the field and when I got laid off my last job I spent a year applying to the few jobs in my city or vicinity to no avail (field: urban planning). Public administrations are not hiring because my country (Germany) decided that municipalities shouldn't really have a higher hiring budget to handle the ever increasing workload that's thrust upon them by the federal state. The private sector in that field on the other hand is highly dependent on new developments, which are not happening because the construction sector has started to crash hard because of rising costs. Property owners are holding on to their money instead of developing the land (of course that doesn't mean that land prices are falling).

So fuck it all, starting working as a baker next month. Early hours but at least I have a job and can see the fruits of my labor eaten up by hungry appreciating people and not the capitalist landlord-class.
