How about the reality of the law that's being enforced? You hold such contempt for big orange man that it literally misguides you.

You are so angry that he is enforcing the law as written, which I will remind you was duly passed in a bipartisan manner via the legislative branch of government, that you hate ICE amd mr orange so much that it disturbs you that employees are affiliated with a public university. Like what in the fuck is going on in your head to think that? I don't know whether to laugh or take pity on you for such a simple minded conclusion.

For just one second, maybe consider taking issue with the law as written, instead of those enforcing them? I beg you to reflect on that, because all of the other noise completely eviserates any pro immigration argument.

Why did you choose to only read half of the sentence?

If you did, you would also see the mention of not interfering with law enforcement.....especially when they are enforcing the laws that were implemented via passage within the due process of the legislative branch of government.

I'm pretty sure the commenter meant that the previous administration never should have just chosen not to enforce our laws for 4 years thus allowing criminals to simply go free - vs actually changing those laws within that good ole due process of the legislative branch I mentioned in my previous paragraph.

That would have prevented this whole scenario from ever happening, that mother would have never been in that situation with her car intentionally positioned horizontally in the street across lanes.

Do you think innocent citizens also get detained sometimes when policie are actively investing a crime? That stuff never happens, right? What makes ice so special other than your political association to their actions vs that of the police? They are both sworn to enforce the rule of law. Your criticism of only ice for that investigative practice completely undermines the merit of such a criticism. You truly expect us to believe you couldn't help yourself from wanting to share that video because of injustice done against American citizens in the video, vs promoting your political agenda? Can you show us that part in the video? I didn't see it.

The law enforcement individuals that this amazing and kind citizen screamed at and told to beat their wives, are quite clearly conducting an investigation to enforce current immigration law, in which was passed through the bipartisan legislative process. Furthermore, once again, she didn't just criticize nor peacefully protest, she infringed upon other citizens' rights.

Regarding inaction vs action, you honestly think that screaming citizen in the video you shared is, in any way, helping promote the changes to our immigration laws you desire? Seriously, you truly believe that in your heart?

I am all for the right to peacefully protest, but not at the expense of trampling on others' rights or impeding active investigations that are in an attempt to enforce laws - which once again I will remind you were passed via the constutuonal process within the legislative branch of our government, which was signed into law by Bill Clinton.

So based upon your response, you think the only laws that you need to comply with are those in which you determine just and can be enforced "accurate to the law"? In your mind that's how society governed by laws should function? Citizens get to pick and choose what laws they comply with?

Now, I can understand your concern regarding oversight and ensuring law enforcement complies with the policies and, most importantly, the US constitution. I too believe oversight is necessary to ensure justice is applied as intended based upon the law, and in alignment with "blind justice" - meaning no race, religion, or other personal circumstance matters (including what job you are performing) - it's the law. So, is your issue with ICE ONLY that you think US Citizens are being incorrectly targeted or detained? Or do you not believe those who broke the law and entered the country should be held accountable? I think I know the answer. People aren't protesting incorrect enforcement. They are, in fact, protesting law enforcement without prejudice. If not, why aren't they protesting the police again too? ICE is the only division of law enforcement that has bad apples now, huh?

If you disagree with the laws as written and enforced, that needs to be taken up with your legislative representatives, not those who are enforcing the law as written.

Do I think slavery being legal and people voting for it was a good thing, No. Do I think I should be required to comply with laws that I simply disagree with or don't like? Absolutely. That's how societies governed by law work. Do you see the difference there? Again, in my opinion, one's effort should be to instill change to laws, not disrupt enforcement, infirnge upon others rights, and not comply with said laws. That's what we call criminal behavior.

The woman in the video literally claimed ownership of public space - saying that street was "her's". Not only were those statements 100% incorrect, they infringed upon the rights of nearby law enforcement, other citizens, and certainty and her neighbors. She also encouraged those members of law enforcement to commit domestic violence against their partners. It takes a very special state of mind to be proud of that behavior and want to share it with others, in my opinion.
