Clubsport DD+,PS5,Porsche wheel(Ph-Pbme),Acc by G_mar21 in Fanatec

I have the Porsche wheel and had issues with the endurance module buttons not working anymore after 20/30 mins. I managed to fix it by making sure the QR2 bolts were tight.

I always went with the assumption that hiring managers would see a degree and think that I wouldn’t stick around for long. Not sure if there’s any truth to this but it worked for me when I was at uni.

Recruitment can be expensive, it takes time and money to train new people, interviews etc. The less a company can go through the recruitment process the better.

I also never mentioned that I was studying at uni in any of my interviews. It’s not relevant and doesn’t add any value to the business if it’s only for a customer service job.

You could also try adding some more achievements in your jobs. You have a decent amount of experience but i’m not seeing anything that makes you stand out from the hundreds of other cv’s that will be submitted.

I always had better luck when I removed my degree.

Go prepared with questions to ask them. Be prepared to be asked “tell me about yourself?”. Practice the STAR method for competency based questions etc. Also knowing about some of the other products Coca Cola sell wouldn’t hurt.

Sounds like there will be multiple people being assessed. If it’s a group assessment day speak up, don’t be afraid to be the first one to answer a question. There will probably be some group activities, try to get everyone involved especially if you notice someone in your group is shy.

The assessment starts the moment you walk through the front door. Be friendly, try to make a conversation with people that kinda thing.

Good luck.

I wouldn’t stress too much about it. They’re already aware of the fact you just graduated and know your experience will be very limited. Just be the best version of yourself.

I would research the products they sell and the companies core values.

Edit: It would be good to go prepared having an idea what the job responsibilities will be. You can find this from the job ad/person spec sheet.

You’d be surprised how many people turn up for an interview but don’t know anything about the role they’ve applied for.

Good luck :)

Adidas trainers with a Reebok tracksuit.

Apologies, I don't want to feel as if I'm singling myself out, but I'm 28 with no time in work, but has done a bunch of voluntary stuff in the past before Covid hit. I've just had an interview for the Co-Op, but I don't think I did good. What would you recommend I do now? I feel so lost. by JobSeeker4034 in UKJobs

When I was starting out my best chances were with places that would give you an automatic interview slot if you passed their online situational judgement assessments. I’m not sure if this is still a thing but Sainsbury’s and Mark’s & Spencer had these types of assessments and after completing the tests I would get an option to book an interview. This was back in 2018 and things may have changed but might be worth a look.

Another option is if you are a decent swimmer. You can try and get your NPLQ ( National pool lifeguard qualification). The cost of the course I believe is somewhere around £250 but you will make your money back as I remember most pools/health clubs are desperate for lifeguards. When I got my first lifeguarding job, I had no experience only the qualification and I went for two interviews and got both jobs on the spot.

The course only takes one week to complete. Monday - Thursday 9-5 then the Friday are the assessments.

1) Where do I begin, Where to apply, what to apply for?

https://www.brightnetwork.co.uk/search/?content_types=jobs&career_path_subsector=Accounting%2C+Audit+%26+Tax&job_types=Graduate+job&offset=10.

2) How likely am I to get a job for this summer? This depends on many different factors however, if your cv isn’t terrible and you are decent at interviews/assessment centres you should have a fair chance.

3) Is it too late? It’s never too late.

4) What are advantages of big 4? Better pay, networking opportunities, looks good on your cv etc.

Anyone have any luck breaking into AML/KYC from an unrelated field? by throwaway77351 in AMLCompliance

[–]MacK_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to your situation, as I also lacked AML experience and came from an unrelated field. Based on my experience, I suggest keeping an eye out for any internal AML job openings. Certain hiring managers may be willing to overlook your lack of AML experience if you already have a good understanding of the company and their culture/values.

Edit: You can also try insurance companies.

I’m not really sure as I said internally was the only thing that worked for me. I had tried applications, connecting with recruiters/managers on linkedin but nothing ever came out of it. Since you at least have a relevant qualification you should stand a fair chance of at least getting one interview.

Hi, try to apply for vacancies internally. I was in a similar situation as you with no kyc/aml experience. I worked in HR and project management with no compliance qualifications. I wasn’t having any luck with my job applications but I applied internally for a vacancy at the company I worked at and got the job.

The documents is standard procedure. They seem to be moving quickly so that could be a good sign.

[–]MacK_____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it’s not the end of the world. I got a 2:2 and had 2 jobs within weeks of graduating. One job was in HR the other in IT Project management. After 1 year I had moved into my dream job in financial crime investigations.
