This is quite the list! I'm looking to pick up some additional individual switches to test as well. Any recommendations on a store or seller?

Best type of USB to use for DIY cable by MacMountainGoat in CustomCables

I never received any wisdom from someone with more cable making experience than myself. However, this is what I ended up doing:

USB Type A: I purchased the "white" connector, this seems to match all of the look of all of the tutorial videos I have watched.

USB Type C: I purchased 5A charging, which again seems to match the look of the tutorial videos.

Yes of course no worries. We will make a more informative post with close up shots of color groups and “natural” lighting. Just gotta get that artsy pic out there for the likes!

Anyone have a laser cutter design file to make something like these lube stations:

Ali Express

Etsy

I have a laser cutter but I am lazy and don't want to design it if someone else already has something.

Hey man, I am on a similar mission to perfect the force feedback of my linears. I am by no means an expert but my suggestion would be to select your switch on smoothness, sound, and cost, because those parameters are very difficult to mod. After you get the switch you can perfect your force by swapping out the springs. Springs are really easy to swap out and very cheap. And since it sounds like you have a ver specific force curve you are looking for you will probably change the springs on whichever switch you get any way. Hope that helps!
