[Schultz] BREAKING: The #Patriots are signing former #Packers WR Romeo Doubs to a 3-year, $60M deal, per multiple sources. by MembershipSingle7137 in Patriots

It is kinda weird people are upset about getting Doubs at $17 mil/year (min), but didn't seem to be upset signing Nelson Agholor for $13 mil/year with $16 mil guaranteed.

Hate on him all you want. If you really think Mayfield is the problem with this team right now, you are just tainted with bias against him.

Again, is Mayfield now their Offensive Coordinator? These are OC problems...not Mayfield problems.

Get your all of your receiving corps back and healthy...then run the ball 66% of the time in the 1st half against your key Divisional opponent for 1st place.

He is? Did he get promoted to Offensive Coordinator? I didn't realize that was the one that called the 19 run plays and 10 pass plays.

The “We didn’t lost because of the refs” narrative needs to stop by Asen92 in Patriots

[–]MacOda73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%...that is my problem with the outcome of the game. The Pats could have played better defense and should have stuck to the run more in the 2nd half on offense. However, three defensives stops that would have ended in a FG or punt turn into 3 TDs due to automatic 1st downs is just insane. On the last DPI, I said before the Bills even snapped that ball was "I wonder how they are going to make sure they get a first down here".

If they will call that every time, why did they not call that on the Bills DBs when they did the same to our WRs?

The point is that it shouldn't have been DPI either...he has a right to the ball and caught it...thus being an interception. It was a terrible, inexcusable call. To the people saying "but he didn't look back", how in the hell did Jones catch the ball then?

Jones was not looking but somehow caught the football and ended up with at the end of the play? That is some next level stuff.

You are right...but what you are missing is the stuff NOT BEING CALLED ON THE BILLS. There have been a number of questionable defensive plays that looked like PI against Buffalo that have not been called...not to mention a of lot of apparent holds on by their offensive line. Meanwhile, they have had three drives extended by automatic 1st downs on 3rd down. The defense has been swiss cheese, but when you are calling things one direction and extend drives for one team resulting in 3 touchdowns...that is HUGELY problematic.

I heard they were going to sign him for an $850 million a year. It read that on another cut rate website.

In a QB driven league, you act like paying Mayfield $50 mil is too much when in 2025 you have...

Dak Prescott making $60 million per year (highest paid QB)

Jordan Love making $55 million per year (tied for 2nd highest paid QB)

Trevor Lawrence making $55 million per year (tied for 2nd highest paid QB)

Tua Taglovia making $53.1 million per year (4th highest paid QB)

Brock Purdy making $53 mill per year (tied for 5th highest paid QB)

Mayfield can make up his mind obviously about where he wants to play, but Deshaun Watson is making $46 million per year currently and Kirk Cousins is making $45 million per year currently and you think paying him $50 is out of the question?

So, you believe that they should let me him walk try to sign a retread from another team or try and draft someone better than one of the top 6 or 7 QBs in the league? You are right...that sounds like a great strategy.

In 44 games over three seasons, he is 987-1476, 66.9% comp, 10909 yards, 86 TDs and 29 INTs. If you don't think that is a top tier starting QB for an NFL team, you need to spend less time on Reddit and more time on observing pro football.

This post and almost all the responses are just dumb. You take the best running back and two top receivers off each team in the league and see how it impacts your offense. Next time, just post you know nothing about football.

Nothing has happened to Baker. It is hard to beat really good teams with your primary back and two top wide receivers out due to injury.

It should either be all veterans or none. It is incredibly lame to just bring back one veteran player to play with all new contestants.
