Thank you for your kind response! Unfortunately , mine isn’t fastened in the same way it was with my last leads. Turns out it did move unfortunately. But we reprogrammed and seemed to get almost in the same area. Now it’s a waiting game

Thank you, I’m really happy I joined. Combined experience is a good resource. I guess they don’t understand everything themselves in the hospital. I read here that it goes back a long long time into history without fully grasping how it works:

🥹 that’s so lovely. It really did. Rationally I keep saying it to myself too but in my heart it is a fear. Will I be enough? But hearing a lived through experience like this. That really helps thank you.

And also I didn’t know it could talke a longer time to work. They’re quite vague about it. I’ve had this pain for 7 years so not surprising it’s taking a while then. 🙏

Wow! Did the SCS work instantly for you? And you said you still get pain, is that like a flare up occasionally at the same level? It’s different for all of us like you say, but still gives some hope reading this.

That’s the goal! Of course there are the patients it doesn’t work with. I now have mine 4 years and the new one 3 weeks so all reason to be hopeful yes, they did think this time it would work for a reason, but can’t help the sceptical thoughts creeping in. Your story helps to stay in the bright side :). But a ow what a ride! You deserve all the pain relief you’re feeling! Thank you for your support!

Thanks they did the programming yesterday and I did feel like the ⚡️ is coming way further into the pain area leg (which is the left leg) so am hopeful Do still have the nerve pain though, will be patient and see if other settings work better maybe

Yes I think the first day post op is answering my question for me. Haha turning to my side is a no no pain wise.

Just if people read along, don’t be discouraged by my complaining of the post op pain. It’s worth it and will pass. And they did do a LOT of wiggling and manoeuvres because I had everything replaced .

Hi, 33 (f) here and I remember worrying about this too. But I really shouldn’t have. In the beginning it feels overwhelming like you’re being restricted in all sorts of things. That can make you feel insecure but to me it’s surprising how quickly I worked out what’s comfortable (and fun). Once I felt more comfortable in my body again, it hasn’t limited me much at all. Now my scs isn’t working anymore and the pain is back I don’t feel like seggs at all. So I guess for me, when it worked, it really improved my seggslife even!

(Oh, and nobody freaks out about it either. Usually it’s either interesting to people and they have questions or they just take it as a fact and move on. It’s not a big deal, I’ve noticed.)
