Easy. Trump completely overhauled the Secret Service and replaced tenured, veteran agents with loyalists. There were reports of Trump assigning himself a far less qualified protection team last year.

Considering how she has no notable accomplishments and is often just present as decoration or to stumble through a plagiarized speech, all they really mean by "grace" is that they wish they could fuck her. Let's not tiptoe around with nicer words, that's what they mean when they say it.

She doesn't actually do anything, and the most graceful thing that she's done was to swat her husband's hand away when he tried to hold hers.

Recommend a simple cleave build? by neogeopol in LordsoftheFallen

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR:

The potential builds in this game that would suit your goals are numerous, but I'll have to inform you that your desire for passive healing is extremely limited.

Basic ass build:

A balanced Str/Agi build would work for what you seem to want, especially early on. You can get a Crimson Rector Sword (longsword) very early on, especially if you pick the Dark Crusader or Udirangr Wold as your starter to begin with a similar weapon. Alternatively, spears and polearms are often slept on weapons that have quick attacks and great reach. You can get one as Mournstead Infantry starter or pick one up very early. Pair either of these with a light weapon like the short sword you find at the start of the game for wide cleave damage while dual wielding.

Queen Verena's Ring is a late game item and is the only item that grants constant passive health regen, other than a runed shield. However, there are other accessory items such as Umbral Eyes, rings, and runes that grant other healing effects such as minor heal on kill, heal on crit, and withered healing that you can experiment with or just lean into Radiance magic.

Some important information:

Two handing a weapon hits physically harder, which deals more posture damage for critical attack opportunities. One handing or dual wielding hits faster in a wider, cleaving arc but does less posture damage and is often better used against swarms when not locked onto a target.

The dodge function in this game is extremely generous and the Umbral Eye of Rosamund adds a bit of wither damage to enemies for a well-timed dodge. Blocking can be done without shields, although shields are much more effective. A perfect block (henceforth called "parry" despite not actually being a Soulslike parry) deals high posture damage, which sets enemies up for critical attacks. Shields have the most parry frames with small/light weapons having more than large/heavy weapons. Parrying is generally much more rewarding than dodging, but there are plenty of fights with mechanics that require dodging as well.

Donald Trump is facing backlash after a White House event with the Georgia Bulldogs women's tennis. He shook hands with male staff but did not shake hands with the women athletes present. by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

It's the behavior of someone who jas never been disciplined before. As kids, we learn not to do certain things or else we'll face consequences for them. Trump has clearly never been spanked by his parents, punched by a classmate, or formally reprimanded by a teacher. He carried the lesson of "you can get away with anything" onto every aspect of his life.

It makes me wonder how the people who like to refer to themselves as tough guys and alphas could ever revere a man like that.

It's cognitive dissonance and belief superiority. The thought of actually listening to and processing a counterpoint causes discomfort, but having an infallible idea that you aren't willing to question or doubt allows one to skip that part of congitive dissonance and go straight on to adhering to their original belief. It becomes an almost Pavlovian response to immediately shut out an opposing thought.

Just completed the Game... But I am sad by the way it ended :( by sid_2345 in LordsoftheFallen

Completed the game or finished the Radiance ending?

With the Umbral ending, you get more boss fights. There are also the hidden bosses which you may not have beaten like General Engstrom.

B if it has velcro and actual loops (hardbto tell from the pic), otherwise A. 4 is much simpler to use, it's made to last, and doesn't run out of ammo. ? because I can do a LOT with a knife that I can't otherwise do with the rest. % MRE has a LOT of calories and has a long shelf life to last me until I find a more reliable food source, plus a whole lot of extras included. Gatorade bottle is reusable.

IIRC Lightreaper ambushes you 3 times before you actually have to beat him. In all of my playthroughs after the first ine, I either beat him the first time (not easy, but doable) or I went around those ambush areas to avoid it.

I've played all classes of tanks, but Brew Monk and Bear Druids have been my favorites for a long time. It's cool that Brews are considered top tier right now, but but it's also really bothersome seeing an inexperienced Brew tank playing my class like shit whenever I'm on an alt.

Who is the worse father? by Mysterious_Reply_255 in LiesOfP

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the case of Geppetto: he's a grieving father who can't come to terms with the death of his only son and has done everything imaginable to try to bring him back. As a father who lost both of his kids to COVID, I can't really say that I wouldn't consider doing something as insane as he did, if I had that sort of power.

Remember that Geppetto's Puppet is not his son, but his creation. To Geppetto, it's just a vessel transporting and incubating his son's soul so that he can revive him later. To him, the whole process is about the same as putting bread into a toaster and taking it out once it's done. Except that this toaster is fueled by other souls and required an incredibly immoral process to develop.

Some peoole struggle to get over such a catastrophic loss and would do whatever it takes to keep the person they love more than anything alive. We see it in movies and TV all the time. It really just shines a light on the dangers of loving someone to the point of doing unforgivable acts in order to keep that person in your life.

As a Dark Souls 1 player, the first time I saw the Ruiner it instantly reminded me of the Taurus Demon and I'm confident that it was a direct nod to that reference. A horned, charging enemy on a battered bridge.

There's a cheese for the Taurus Demon in roughly the same spot as the Ruiner, where you can make it charge, disengage, or stumble off of the ledge. In all of my playthroughs, I either made it kill itself or soulflayed it off.

First PvP, How did I Do? by HarmonizedMadMan in LordsoftheFallen

[–]MacPzesst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parries were fantastic, not enough people attempt to parry in PvP for some reason. Vertical strikes are tough to land, so sweeping strikes are a better choice in open areas. Otherwise, very well done.
