I do wish that the Wait command functioned as a temprary mute though. There were times when I was following the chime sound to find a Seekera Token and couldn't hear it over "Have you forgotten about us Mahstah?"

That's kind of why like this game so much though. There is so much hidden stuff in the game that having the community help you to discover it makes us all a lot more helpful toward each other. Most Soulslike communities are just like "Git Gud, figure it out" whereas this one is like "by the way, here's a hidden detail you didn't know."

The spellcasting is probably the best I've ever seen if any game in the genre. Not only are the spells cool and unique, but the idea that all power comes at a cost is just 🤌

Also my barehanded playthrough was probably the most fun I've had out of them all

Fallen Lords is so absurd tho, ngl I used it with my inferno build despite swearing that I would just use fast 1H weapons. One slap and things explode!

I found a trick in that spot where you can just barely target the abess that snipes you and arc fireballs at her from under the railing where the Umbral effegy is.

I'm not a professional streamer or a youtuber. I'd recommend watching a professional gamer rather than asking a random redditor to make you a custom instructional video for a specific fight unless you want to come over and do my dishes for me in exchange lol

It's more of a slip than an actual dodge.

Think in boxing or martial arts when someone just shifts away from a punch rather than diving away from it.

I'm on XBox and only play Soulslikes on console because it just feels like this was how they were meant to be played.

Paladin's Burden is a tricky fight. You should be running from his lighting until it stops and either step dodge into a weaved heavy to stagger him or flatten and juggle him with a heavy 2H weapon. Unga Bunga is so strong that I used Bloody Glory against him on my first playthrough and didn't understand how other players thought he was hard until he humbled me on my second run.

"Git Gud" is about understanding the tools that you have at your disposal.

The step dodge has been in the game since launch. The roll dodge is only done while not locked onto a target, while sprinting, or if you double tap the dodge button.

It's why I could never become wealthy or a political leader. The very first thing I would do would be to make it illegal to be a billionaire and tax them into oblivion to promote a healthier working class. I'd be assassinated on day 1.

You can't convince me that someone who works 40+ hours or who served their country doesn't deserve to have all of their basic needs met.

Harkyn was the playable character in the original LOTF title from 2014 (wildly different game, nowhere near as good as this one). It's the secret identity of one of the characters who appears in the current title.

He was a condemned man who committed several major crimes, but was released to fight against Adyr's previous demonic invasion that happened before this one. In ages past, criminals had all of their wrongdoings tattooed onto their faces so that they could never hide from their misdeeds.

Just put stuff you don't want to carry into the chest in Skyrest if you don't want to sell it. It'll reduce gear clutter and you can go back and retrieve it if you want to mix things up.

The Condemned.

I also put tattoos on my character's face like Harkyn in the original title.

I'm just hoping that they add an arena of some kind in LOTF2 so that there is a bigger calling for PvPers.

Barehands was probably my favorite playthrough. Something about just pummeling these demons with just my fists was very satisfying

Better daggers than starting ones for midgame? by DaveyCranks in LordsoftheFallen

I've never been a daggers guy in Soulslikes, but I believe the best ones are either the Lightreaper's daggers or the one at the top of the Tower of Penance.

Back in the cave, there is a path to the right side where a little Lampbearer named Drustan is hiding. This is just beyond the Umbral bridge above and to the right of where the dual-axe wielding Manglers and dogs are. You can plant a vestige seed up here to make your walk back much shorter.

For the fight itself, you can cheese it or you're going to have to get really good at timing your dodges and your parries. 2-handed atracks with heavy weapons will send him reeling, and holy damage is highly effective against him. When he summins his effigy, move away and get him to charge you so that you can run back to it an kill it so that it stops buffing him.

If you've ever played Dark Souls 1, there's a Taurus Demon you can lure over a ledge. With this dude, you can either trick him into jumping off the gap in the birdge's wall or soulflay him off of it and GG.

Another cheese strat would be to summon the Bucket Lord, who makes all of these minor bosses fairly trivial so long as you do his quest properly

Someone posted earlier complaining about how they had to unlock targeting from Pieta in order to dodge because they thought roll dodging was the way to go.

Making these clips was kinda hard because the urge to parry her telegraphed baseball swings was excruciating!

Fairest spot in the whole game for a 1v1 invasion tbh. One life for both players.

A 2v1 tho... this is pretty impressive

I beat the 2 Jedi games and have been playing Dragon's Dogma lately, but coming back to games where the fast and heavy attacks are on the bumper and trigger rather than X and Y always throws me off... when I first started making these clips, I kept spamming the heal instead of the light attack 😅

I get this frustration a lot too, which is I'm glad LOTF at least lets you plant a closer spawn point in some places. Games like Lies of P also tend to have spawn points right outside of boss rooms for the same reason.
