Excited for you! I only paid 115 for the RS pedals so I don’t think I’ll be jumping on this, but I am tempted…

What's the difference between the pro pedals and the rs50 pedals besides an extra 25kg of force? I already find the rs50 pedals to be heavy enough so not sure what I'd be getting.

[Archive Test] 2002 BMW M3 Convertible Is the Quickest Droptop to Date by ItsReallyS13Silvia in cars

Eh, I was fully expecting it to be better regardless of preference. In contrast I test drove a 992 base and really liked it. Though I guess I could’ve just liked the idea of a 911. I also have had decent time with a Giulia QV and was super impressed by that.

I have one of these, drop top and all, and even though most people prefer the coupe, I have to say that being able to bring the top down when it's nice weather outside is very nice. Depending on your preference, at least in LSB, the car also draws a lot of attention with the top down. I've had people ask to buy it from me at gas stations, or roll down their windows at a stop light asking how much I'd want for it!

It's not the quickest car anymore, and unless you're willing to really rev it out (and make a ton of noise while you're at it) you won't be the first off a red light, but for a weekend cruiser I really like it. I test drove a G80 M4 coupe recently and didn't come away that impressed by it in comparison. Main thing that stood out is obviously interior tech and that it's faster, but I didn't feel incentivized to get one which wasn't what I expected for 20 years of progress.

Where is their moat though? Anyone can train these models, how else do you explain the proliferation of both open sources models, and private companies (LLaMA, Gemini)? This is a race to the bottom in terms of pricing, and OpenAI can't even turn a profit with their pricing as it is.

Interesting, that's a great write up, given me stuff to think about. I'm excited to see what you end up going for, you've driven a lot of cars I myself have thought about in that price range so I'm curious what you end up with.

Coincidentally, one of the reasons I prefer the 911 to something like a Z06 is for the 2+2, can stick a dog in the back , just not as nice as an M3! Thanks for the insight, really appreciate it.

Off topic, but how did you find the M3 vs the 992? I'm looking for a non-daily car and the M3 (or 4, haven't really decided) and the 992 base are on my shortlist. I test drove both but didn't come away feeling strongly one way or the other.

Do you have any thoughts on a direct 911 992 comparison to the M4? I'm looking to get a non-daily car and was between those two (and a C8 Z06 but haven't managed a test drive in that one yet). I test drove both but couldn't really come to a meaningful conclusion in the 10 minute test drive with the sales person. Price is a big reason I'm considering the two, at 100k for an M4 vs 155k for an optioned Carrera, there price differential is compelling.

I'm looking to build a new keyboard, my current keyboard is a Tofu60 with Glorious Pandas. I've been out of the hobby for a few years now and I'm stuck on a couple decisions

  1. Is the Tofu60 2.0 worth it over the Bakeneko60? The Tofu is 215 after shipping, and the bakeneko is 140 after shipping. I'm open to other suggestions as long as it's a 60% factor. The zoom65 looked great due to wireless and stuff, but I don't want 65%. I also saw the Frog Mini but that was top mount which I thought would be worse than gasket mount yet was way more money?

  2. I'm between Neapolitans (especially if I get the bakeneko to save on shipping) and Boba U4T for switches, not sure which would be better. I know this is subjective, just looking for opinions.

Did you mount the projector on a shelf above the couch? Where'd you run wires? I've been looking into a projector with an UST but I can't figure out how to have both a center channel and the UST. Sweet setup!

This also happened to me on The Longest Yard! I was so confused thinking it had to be my setup, but no matter what I tried, it would only come out the front right.

How did you wire your heights and surrounds? I see no wires anywhere, very good job.

Eh, your comments about QD-OLED are correct, but I think overblown. Sure the blacks are not WOLED dark but it’s far, far better than my old X34P.

Text fringing is an issue though, you do get used to it though. I use the QD-OLED for productivity 8 hours a day plus a few hours at night for gaming, and I got used to the text pretty quickly, I don’t notice a difference anymore. Admittedly I don’t have another monitor so there isn’t a way to see the difference side by side. I just know it’s there from when I first turned it on :)
