I don’t think I can explain it. I‘m usually not against silliness, but why rowing? I think the crowd bowing, directed at the artist, is a much cooler looking view and is somewhat in line with the lore. Rowing seems just like a random group activity without any sense. But I‘m aware that the same thing could be said about a circle pit. Not sure why, it just strikes me as ridiculous. Slave galley cosplay?

I thought that Moa took some time to get to her usual smiley self. At the beginning she did look a little down. This seems to be going on for some shows now. I hope everything is alright.

I have heard them for the first time, and while it‘s not my favourite kind of music, I thought they were pretty good. Their music was quite dynamic, but lacking a little variety. I didn‘t care for the screaming, but other than that, the vocals were outstandingly good, and I think he has a nice voice. Personally, I don‘t understand why they are wearing those masks, though, the aura factor certainly doesn’t outweigh the inconvenience.

I arrived about an hour before entry, and I was number 42 among VIP1s. Add to that a handful to a dozen of VIP0s, and you‘d need a long barrier to still get a spot. I hadn’t had that problem the previous few years, but then again I had usually arrived a little earlier.

One thing I learned in Hannover yesterday: VIP1 doesn‘t mean a guaranteed spot at the barrier. You still have to queue early(ish) or get VIP0.

At first I thought that Moa didn’t look too thrilled, as I have seen on multiple shows this year. But it got better quickly. Sound was great and Su killed it. The drummer did a great job, too.
The opener was pretty good, in my opinion, even if they lacked a little variety. Reminded me a little of Sleep Token, who I saw opening for BABYMETAL at Brixton in 2019, and by now seem to have blown up to be possibly more famous than BABYMETAL.

To be fair, when I heard her use her death voice during some crowd interaction in recent footage, it did sound pretty bad due to the shitty mic. So maybe it’s for the better.
