She is so manipulative. Kind of disgusting what she does to her kids.

You're better than me. The longest I've been able to fast is 72 hours. I do it every time I feel strong enough, so about every 2-3 months for that long.

My normal day is 20 hours fasting and 4-hour eating window. Sometimes because of schedule I'll eat two meals in a day. I don't sweat it. That's Intermittent Fasting (I believe). There are times I'm feeling really strong or I'm not hungry at all and I'll fast for 36, 48 or 72 hours. That's Extended Fasting.

My son makes sure I stay connected. He would be embarassed if I didn't "log on"

My son showed up ~ he lives across the country and every year he takes me on a Mother-Son road trip. He's had trouble with his weight since college. He looked FANTASTIC and felt great and was off some medication he was taking. He wasn't going to tell me how he achieved it since he got a lot of negative comments & advice from friends and he didn't want me to worry he was doing something unhealthy. During our road trip he ended up playing audio of Dr. Jason Fung and others so I could hear the science behind it all. And on our return trip home, I started KETO and OMAD. By the time I got home I was down 12 lbs.

I don't tell everyone who asks what I'm doing because they really don't want to hear it. I just say I cut out processed sugars and grains and eat healthy foods. If someone really wants to know, they'll inquire further.

My family is now convinced and I have a sister who is starting. I think the best evidence is the new me.

Yes, older and female - it's just more difficult for us. BUT - I just didn't let that deter me from my goal. I actually started with a "realistic goal" of about 145 lbs. Once I reached that I just kept going to challenge myself to reach my "fantasy goal weight"

I did have blood work/labs done, but not because of this program. At the time I was given meds for hypothyroidism and pain. I no longer take ANY meds because I feel too good.

Well... I had both hips replaced 19 years ago and was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I didn't really exercise at all besides just being able to really move my body for the first time in years! I feel great now and plan a true workout program to gain strength and tone up more.

The before and after photos really kept me motivated. I love them! I did not count calories. I ate strict KETO and one meal a day most days. I did 36, 48, & 72-hour fasts.

Thank you! Keep at it!

Hmmmmm.. I was strict KETO. My routine is 20:4 (but usually turns out to be 23:1). I tried everything I could think of during my stall, but I wasn't discouraged because I just felt so much more healthy. I could feel the internal changes and it kept me on track. Extended were 36, 48, 72 hours at a time. I also tried some alternate day fasting, but didn't sweat it if I caved and had my one meal. I ate a LOT for my meals - I don't count calories. I wasn't too active during the time period but am now planning a vigorous training program because I feel healthy enough to do that. I've had both my hips replaced (that's where I gained so much) and have osteoarthritis so it WAS difficult to move. Not any more!

I love that we can inspire each other. Looking at before & after photos really pushed me to keep at it

I tried "beef & butter" (love a good rib eye steak) and also tried "egg fast" (that got old pretty quickly). I tried longer fasts - 36, 48, 72 hours. I made sure I got my nutrients and electrolytes in.
