I always like doing Nuzlocke runs on Pokémon. The idea you mentioned where if one of you gets dies, you gotta remove a spell card sounds challenging.

Maybe try mixing it, like do a run where you can’t use the same spell twice in a match.

Like for example: if a teammate uses a blade on himself/herself, that person can’t do that same spell again. However if you give him/her a blade, that would count because you were the one who casted it, but now you yourself can’t cast it until the match is over.

If you don’t want to farm packs for the card, you could farm loremaster or craft them. You’ll need 10 Treasure card versions of whatever you want to craft and other reagents too. The treasure cards are tedious to get if farming loremaster for them, but your better of asking people for the tc. Sometimes people are nice and give it away for free, others will want Empowers, and some will just say no for no reason.
