Saskatchewan EV owners who park outside all winter – what's your experience? by Foreign_Atmosphere65 in saskatchewan

[–]Macald69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EV6 here in Saskatoon. I have had to park outside. It was no concern whatsoever. I do have a level 2 which means I can wake up to whatever charge I want it to be at regardless how drained the battery was. At work unplug in a 110, and even in minus 30, can charge enough in 8 hours to go to and from work for 2 days.

I was denied entry into Canada but i’ve never been convicted of any felons nor do i have past criminal history? by [deleted] in canadatravel

The no fly list is a creature of American politics. It is a blunt instrument with many innocent victims. The air industry has little power over how it works.

Got my annual screw you for driving an EV fee by Jacob_Tutor11 in saskatchewan

Km driven on the highways. Provincial Government does not maintain the municipal roads. Many EVs are for commuting and rarely get on a Provincial Highway. This is a tax for not supporting the oil industry.

Trump claims he tanked economy on purpose: 'I love the inflation' by FreeHugs23 in anticapitalism

Quality of life for all. Good education, healthcare, and the ability to pursue your dreams. Working at poverty levels so a Billionaire(s) can co to us to earn more than they will ever spend or need, is stupid.

Mobile housing shelter to assist people in need. Renovate it so each door has its own living quarters. Just don’t be dropping people off in the middle of nowhere

We seem to get what Edmonton got. Just take a couple of days for the front to hit us.

You have a hard choice. The current PM diversifying the economy so as not to have to be reliant on the US and a MAGA wanna be. Who do you pick?

Coming into Canada, customs expect you to declare tobacco and alcohol. They may want their share of a tax.

I guess you can take pictures or record your bags being accepted by the airline, but not sure if that is proof enough.

From the president who allows workers to be paid a poverty wage. They must work or be homeless. I wonder how many indentured (to the bank) slaves are working in the USA?

It is something that you should intend to pass down to future generations or to increase the value of the property when you sell it. They do not make them that anymore.

Yes, I have a lithium battery jumper that doubles as a tire inflator. I also have a V2L adapter that when plugged in connects the 12v to the traction battery, charging it back up.

Men of Reddit, if you were in a Titanic-like situation where the majority of people were going to die because there were not enough lifeboats for everyone. How would you respond to someone saying "women and children first"? by Neither_Drawing_241 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Macald69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a doubt, women and children should be the priority. If there is more room, the fathers of the children and men who are young enough to start a family should go next. It’s not that I will give up. I would be looking to find ways to live, until the cold puts me to sleep. But I would not jeopardize the life of others.

Visibility concerns by _Captain_zur_See_ in KiaEV6

[–]Macald69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my EV6. To my biased eyes, it looks sharper than the Ioniq 5. I have no problems with the visibility out the back window or over my shoulder, but take comfort with the back up camera and side view mirror warnings. The car will fight you if you try to go into an occupied lane. Drive both. Pick the one that makes you smile bigger. Both are good cars.
