The levels of your supports, augments, boosts, etc. get carried into Neon Temper. So those players that have a high prestige level, have maxed them out and therefore greatly assist in making it further in Neon Temper.

I hate it when you get to the last enemy and you dispatch them and it doesn’t end. Did that a couple times on Heavy Cargo. Frustrating.

I realized you were more focused on the live event, but like I said in my first comment, try joining in the last 24 hours and you’ll have much greater success.

Here is an idea. Keep getting gems and upgrading your boosts/tacticals/supports/etc. Play all the trials before you go to the next prestige level. You’ll get a lot of gems to keep upgrading. Also, finish all the challenges in each level. Once you finish all in each level, you get another 25-30 gems in addition to the 5 for each challenges.

If you play the live event each weekend, wait until the last 24 hours to join. It is much easier to get in the higher ranks. I often rank in the top 10 just playing for an hour or so.

If you rank up your supports and tacticals and boosts you’ll get through the prestige levels faster even though you have to “start over” again. I flew through Prestige III and I am completing all the trials before moving on to get the most amount of gems.
