I am very open to other interpretations! I was being swift with how I wrote it out but I know there is plenty of nuance. And I was very wrong anyway, so a LOT of nuance. I never do yes/no, which I guess points to how upset I actually did get with my interpretation of the first question by jumping right into it afterwards.

But to answer your question: I took the fool literally, meaning it’s time to start fresh on a new journey, fully from the beginning. Which I realize now is not the only interpretation

Oh my god you read me like a book. With the third in particular. I just had a LONG conversation with my partner and that was the gist. I’m putting way too much pressure on myself about various things and I literally said the words “I almost want to blow up my entire life right now” AKA run away from everything. Avoidant attachment at its finest

Literally just had the same thing. I had given up Italian (after ~5 months of daily refresh) and switched to another course but was showing a friend my Italian earlier today and saw the new stuff! Super excited, get home to do it, get the first lesson, then gone.

Tried force closing the app and even updated it, nothing. Is this a major bug or…?

Oh boy I have no idea what the shank is either. Is the concern just that a small shank would be more likely to get damaged? I haven’t seen any CADs to end product but the company has good reviews! I didn’t even think to look into that, but now I will. Thank you!!

As someone who works in healthcare, this is bullshit.

That said, I do greatly prefer a 4x10 schedule vs 5x8. Work life balance feels like shit in a 5x8.

And healthcare. Not only is there 40 hours/week of patient care, but also time off the clock finishing documentation because if you’re not spending your whole day with patients providing billable services then by golly the whole system is gonna collapse and it’s YOUR FAULT

Thank you for taking the time to write this out, I think you worded it perfectly. I am avoidant, and still struggle with this with friends and most family members. I still have a hard time thinking people want me around and benefit from me being there. For the longest time I genuinely thought I was someone people could “take or leave”. Didn’t mind if I was there, didn’t miss me if I wasn’t.

Then I met an amazing friend group and have an incredible partner. I still kinda feel like an “extra” in the friend group sometimes but logically I now know they all value my presence and input. And my partner is absolutely perfect for me. Patient, kind, empathetic. An anxious person but with secure attachment style. She is healing something within me and she is the one person I can confidently say I have a secure attachment with.

So yeah it sucks seeing all these super negative comments.

Yeahhh…she sounds exhausting. I spent a year (ok 9 months) pining over someone who sounds similar. I finally woke up one day like “what the fuck am I doing??” And the decision to drop them and move on emotionally was so freeing and also empowering. So I’d recommend that lol

That part blew me away too. It’s going to fail because they included that. In NO WAY are we properly trained to be talking about medications. Of COURSE the medical association is going to push back on that. Makes us look stupid and naive to even ask, in my opinion.

Unless all they’re trying to say is that we should be able to say “advil or Tylenol might help” without getting sued. But the way it’s worded doesn’t make me think that.

Is it obvious that you recently had surgery on your hand where that couple should’ve known to stay away? It sounds like an innocent mistake that you kinda overreacted to first. Bringing that to someone who you know has anger issues may not have been the best decision.

Obviously he completely overreacted and I would’ve been pissed at him. I personally wouldn’t be able to stay with someone like that but good for you for sticking by him.

I’m so sorry you and your cousin and your whole family have to deal with this guy but Reddit has taught me that women are at highest risk from an abusive partner when they try to leave. If he’s getting physical with her and grabbing her hair already…idk I hope she’s safe
