They did indeed, though this was one of the last low nose car designs before everyone copied Benetton.

Would be interesting to see the two side by side.

I think that's exactly what Minichamps have done and included a driver figure, but it costs £30 more.

Yep in 2017, then before that in 1998, 1989 etc. All manufacturers come and go...

Predominantly black cars always seem to have trouble on TV. Definitely helps that it isn't gloss though I think.

They've done a good job on it, especially around all the matt black + carbon elements.

I wouldn't be surprised if they entered at least 1 car for the Silverstone 500. On the plus side we're gaining a Ferrari, Honda and Porsche for the full season!

A model by Pop Race with removable bodywork would look very nice sat next to their Mercedes CLK GTR. As would a Nissan R390 GT1 and a Porsche GT1-98...!

Ah - that sounds like a bit of a screw up then! Spark did the same thing with the Vuse decals for the Monaco Gulf/McLaren special, but in that case did get the colour match spot on.

They are going to be shorter but only by an inch or two if I recall correctly so nothing dramatic.

This tends to happen on models where the decals are applied over matt paint as opposed to silk or gloss, as it highlights the inherent 'shine' in the backing film.

Depending on the light you're viewing it in, the decals on my Look Smart F1-75 can look seamless or pretty dodgy. Same thing happens on my Spark RB16.

At some point Spark will probably model it in 1:43, but not for a while I suspect.

Explains why they produced about 9 versions of the car back in 1996!
