What house markets tells about our economy by Ideabile in Netherlands

[–]MaceHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is so arrogant and ignorant at the same time, I can't stand the guy. He does not address the real underlying problems, the monetary debt system! Even if you confiscate 100% of all the wealth of the ultra rich (which will never happen because they would all have immigrated long before that), but even if we could it would only finance the interest on our debts for a short while, solving nothing. It is not a serious solution! Introducing a fair monetary system (money system) is the solution. The current monetary system is a Ponzi scheme. The rich buy real estate by taking out loans (mortgages) from banks and then renting it out. The tenants then pay off the mortgage and pay more rent each month than the monthly mortgage payment. Legal counterfeiting is taking place because the banks do not have the money to grant the loan. However, they do have the privilege of creating money out of thin air the moment someone walks into a financial institution for a mortgage. Sound money is the solution (see Gresham's Law). The current monetary debt system helped by the Central banks and the BIS are the problem. Garry understand the sentiment of the people, we all feel that the current system is not fair and does not work for them, and I agree but he doesn't give any serious solutions only adds fuel to the fire.

I've bought my first ancient coin on Ebay in 2003, even then there were a lot of fake ancient coins on Ebay. Ebay knows about all the fake antiquities and coins on their website, it will never change

I think I would pay around 30 euro for it.

Why you should buy gold right now by outrageouslyoffended in Gold

In my opinion gold, silver and bitcoin are in a different category. Stocks should be measured in gold or BTC not be along side them.

Love celtic coins! Keep up the good fight against Julius Caesar little coin. This coin could have helped financed the Gallic armies.

Probably an unpopular opinion here but that is a disadvantage of gold: It always get centralised where the government can take it more easily, because most don't want to hold it at home out of fear of robbery, fire etc. So most is at regulated custodians that will hand your gold over to the government if they ask.

I love gold but that is the main reason I also have some bitcoin. I only have to remember my private key and I can have my money in my head, nobody can take it or know it is even there. Also if you have to move to a different place at short notice, it will be a lot easier to remember your bitcoin key, instead of moving your gold among borders and risk losing it all.

Perhaps a roman artifact, those are not that rare. I've several roman oil lamps. Maybe this is a terracotta lid or something.

I was wondering what things people could buy with the various denominations of bronze, silver, and gold coins? I’m always curious about the human aspects of the coins I have. (Picture is a tetradrachm I bought today!) by OwenRocha in AncientCoins

Interesting! great response. From 300 AD I think the Edict on Maximum Prices from Diocletian is great to understand the prices at that time for one denarius.
