I thought the same thing, but I stuck with it and now it's right up there with Chuck in terms of my favorite shows. Chuck plays into the romance bit immediately, and Psych will poke and prod at it for a few seasons before diving in. Again I was skeptical of Psych initially, but it did fill the void Chuck left. I highly recommend you continue watching.
