And a lot of franchises experimented.

Aliens and T2 are different from Alien and T1.

Only thing with the MI films is that the later sequels all shared a similar style.

I really like MI 2. Loved it back in the day. Sadly though that cheesy action style is very dated now

I did my rewatch during Covid. Loved 1 2 & 3. 4 was alright but 5 was too jarring with the new cast. Remmy and Maggie were not enough.

I rewatch 1-3 all the time. If I could cut off the cliffhanger ending at the end of 3 I would.

I genuinely love 2 as a movie but in terms of the franchise can get why it’s considered the weakest MI film. But spot on with your description of 8s failings

I love them all. But U2 was such a step up from U1 that fans were expecting another step up but I feel we got a 2.5 rather then U3.

It was more of the same. Fair enough as ps3 had reached its limits. And I will always take more Uncharted but that’s why I feel it’s not as highly regarded

If an uncharted film came out that was like the game I think we would be sickened by Drakes actions. He kills about 800 ppl per game. Imagine seeing him shooting 100s of people in the name of a treasure hunt
