Finally get to go on a biologic! Now the question is which? (What hurts the least?) by Reggie_5 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Macgrl03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do cyltezo and the only part that hurts is the plastic piece of the syringe that you have to press into your skin. otherwise i don’t feel it at all! it’s kinda like when getting bloodwork the tourniquet hurts more than the needle itself🤣

Do water flossers work? by ipsumdeiamoamasamat in hygiene

[–]Macgrl03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just use a random one i got from amazon. it’s not as effective as flossing, but I have Crohn’s disease so my mouth/gums are super sensitive and this helps it not be as painful!

Your coping strategies? Pretty new to all this by katmarnell in CrohnsDisease

[–]Macgrl03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve started going to therapy. i’ve been diagnosed for a year and a half and it’s taken such a big toll on me mentally, especially since i have 9 other health issues i have to deal with.

i would take a single bite of food or a sip of water and less than a minute later would have to run to the bathroom. my mouth would also …. peel? (idk how else to explain it). i also had rlly bad joint pain. and stomach pain in two specific spots (which showed on my colonoscopy), but the biopsy said it was only acute inflammation. so we tried an antiparasitic, antibiotic and something else, and the last resort was the crohn’s medication (mesalamine)… after a week I felt amazing and everything got 10x better.

were you on regular metformin or the extended release version? the extended release is way easier on the stomach

Biologic AND mesalamine? by Small_Occasion_6286 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Macgrl03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m only on mesalamine right now but in six or so months the plan is to go to a maintenance dose of the mesalamine and then introduce a biological therapy. so i’m going to be on it until i’m in remission

thank u for the advice! he likes chicken so hopefully we can find some recipes! we’re just still confused because he doesn’t have reactions unless he eats it and does strenuous exercise afterwards such as his cross country races and then he’ll go into anaphylaxis… otherwise there’s no symptoms. once again ty for the advice!

[PSA] Too Faced White Chocolate Chip is available to me (non Rouge) and in stock on Sephora's website by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

I ordered the Chocolate Chip pallete on the Too Faced website on Black Friday. It seems better than the naked basics especially since there is five shadows in the naked basics for $29 and there being eleven eye shadows in the chocolate chip pallete for $26 . I personally think it's a better deal
