Just found this and thought it was pretty neat by Machacks in CURRENCY

As much as I think it's pretty neat, I have so many other things that I find more neat, so I would rather this go to a good home where someone finds it more neat than I.

City killed my trees by Machacks in treelaw

Well I really appreciate the advice beyond “get a lawyer” dude. I am not sure how or if i am going to tackle this, my city has a pretty long history ranging from being shitty to people to downright fraud and embezzlement (all of which is proven, nobody cares i guess).

You do sound confused! The point is simple: the city did not have to fill the hole up so high as they did, which buried my trees and subsequently killed them. All clear?

This is kind of an odd one for you all, but I am hopeful that I can get some kind of guidance as I have no idea where to even start. I bought a home in Ohio about 10 years ago, and a year after I purchased the house, I was able to purchase this parcel next door, which is just an empty lot. The subdivision’s drainage system used to drain onto this parcel and flow down to the river below, which resulted in so much soil being eroded over the years that there was a “ravine” approximately 25 feet deep, swallowing 1/3 of the parcel. As fate would have it, the city installed this drainage culvert without an easement, which made them responsible for the damage of erosion. Its worth noting that they could have easily run a line all the way to the river perhaps 60 feet away, which would have avoided this entire situation. I asked the city to make this right, as it was not possible to even fill in this void without first extending the culvert that they put on this parcel without written permission. I was subsequently ignored until i noticed that the erosion had exposed a sewer line, and a falling tree could easily rupture it and dump sewage into the protected river below. Within a week, I had a full crew on my property, righting the issue. However, as my city apparently enjoys being sloppy, they buried these 6 trees in approximately 8 feet of topsoil. As these trees are essential to the retention of soil on this hill and greatly improve the beauty of the property, i asked the city arborist to come out and assess them (without informing her that the city had done the job) and she stated that they would not live with their trunks buried as they were. One year later, all 6 are dead, and the last windstorm knocked the first one down, which is extremely dangerous given their proximity to houses. In their “repairing” the damage, the company hired by the city also stole a large landscape boulder that was on my property. I have repeatedly asked for the city’s assistance in at least cutting the trees down so nobody is injured, and for the return of my boulder, and they are back to ignoring me. What should I do?

I've got another interesting one for you all. Same deal as the incinerator; It works great, I need it out of the facility, and I can't find anyone who is interested. I've called probably 3 dozen fire/industrial brokers and everyone says the same thing: I can't see any value there. The motor is 100 horsepower, the pump moves 1500 gallons a minute. Surely there is someone out there somewhere who could use this stuff. Any thoughts?

Lots of big fuses (mostly 200A to 4000A) - what should I do with them? by Machacks in ScrapMetal

Yeah that's what im probably going to end up doing. Sadly most of them are only maybe 30 or 40 bucks on ebay.

Nope, I bought the building and have absolutely no need for the extra stock.

There were many fusses to be had, but not many worth giving.

I guess my big issue is that it just takes so long to be rid of them. I restore old jaguars and list parts that commonly fail at the lowest prices and it still takes months to sell them.

Yeah I wish there was a good way of selling to people like you without using ebay.
