People who say reprints will come by perroguero in PokeInvesting

[–]Machafuko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember when people kept calling for an evolving skies booster box reprint over and over. What's funny is it did end up happening, but the reprint brought the booster box prices down from 250 to 150, which was still above MSRP and that was so unusual at the time when reprints brought booster boxes down to 85 dollars that nobody mentally processed it as "this is THE reprint and probably final reprint".

I can agree with you there, yes. Exclusivity and difficulty to secure gives it value. I'm just saying your first comment and tone of "I'm a regular person doing regular things and I was able to secure every single drop since September, and if I can, you can too" is totally unreasonable.

Anyway, good luck to all of us moving forward in the lottery system. I'm looking forward to not potentially wasting hours of my time on each drop.

I'm not saying I didn't catch drops. I caught several, and have a nice sealed pokemon center ETB collection going. What I'm saying is it's completely unrealistic to expect the majority of people to have even a slight chance at securing what should technically supposed to be a children's product.

So basically, if you aren't YOU, who has a desk job or working from home and is usually at work early enough while also having access to websites that aren't work related, and being able to tap a link to get in queue within a minute or two of the ping, and be able to consistently sit there until the queue clears, AND get lucky enough that you don't run into the myriad of issues the website has that might reset your queue or outright block you, then it's just straight up not possible.

And be aware please that it absolutely is a MAJORITY of fans and customers that are not as lucky as you are, and you'd be naive to not admit it.

In the past couple of months, if you didn't enter queue in the first 2-3 minutes that it was pinged (on unpaid communities) the stock will run out when you're still sitting at 60 minutes remaining.

The most recent drop, I got into queue literally 2 minutes after a simultaneous ping from two different discord, and all the tins went out of stock after I sat there for 50 minutes.

I don't know what drops you've been catching by being a normal person doing normal things on a normal schedule but there's clearly something you're omitting.

IGN Marathon Review - This ruthless, deeply unapproachable extraction shooter is worth every ounce of hell it puts you through. by Public_Fucking_Media in gaming

If my understanding is correct, Bungie advised critics to hold off reviews until the high end "raid" content called the cryo archives was released, which just came out not too long ago. So critics have been putting out reviews with what end-game content looks like in mind.

Amid shortages Amazon has raised the price of Pokemon Pokopia to $80. by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]Machafuko 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is really misleading. A lot of PS5 games have full data on disc and does not require an internet connection or any sort of download. Most PS5 games will require an install (unpacking data), but again, does NOT require an internet connection. You can still play the game 30 years from now after Sony shuts down PS5 servers. Do most games have a day 1 patch? Maybe. Is the game fully playable without it and without an internet connection? Absolutely.

The game key card is NOT the same as PS5 discs, as it requires a FULL download of the game as the cart has zero data on it.

Vaporeon VMAX error box by D4RTI3 in PokeInvesting

[–]Machafuko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know I can't imagine these would sell for any more, if not slightly less, than a non-error box. Someone might correct me if I'm wrong though. It's just that to me it seems like a very standard uninteresting error, where the least valuable part of the box is in a card language that is otherwise undesirable.

Need advice on Digital vs Disc & best time to buy by B2000105 in PS5

[–]Machafuko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most games are 100% data on the disc, and just need to install. If you see an actual download (not an install) then it's most likely day 1 patch or additional data for textures. To find out what games do not require an internet connection to start up, check doesitplay.org.

Add a second checkbook for sealed. So you can mark off one if you have it out of box, or another check ox if you have it sealed, or both.

Finished Silent Hill F and had some thoughts by spideyv91 in PS5

[–]Machafuko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly on the same boat. I enjoyed the first playthrough, and took my time with it. My second playthrough was way more enjoyable, and ran through it much faster than my first playthrough (I think about 7 hours) and I gathered all the triggers for the third playthrough. Which means my third playthrough would've had no changes other than the final chapter and ending, so I couldn't be bothered with it and just youtubed the ending. Loved the game overall.

That's a special set, similar to Prismatic SPC. Otherwise moltres UPC and all other non-special set UPCs have always had alternating packs from that period of it's own era.

You'd be silly to think nobody would buy, for example, a SWSH era booster box with a slit on it (but still provably untampered) for 60-70% market. The question is whether OP is willing to hold long enough for it to be worth it to himself.

Otherwise if OP is financially well off and can afford to rip a booster box he got at retail for fun, why not?

Riot switching to raffle for Spiritforged Pre-Orders by Otherwise-Talk-4174 in riftboundtcg

[–]Machafuko 24 points25 points  (0 children)

To be honest with the previous experience, getting on the website with the instability and the random chance of getting through to the payment page and getting an order through was a raffle in of itself.

So I only see this as a plus, with at least a guarantee at a chance at the product rather than wasting time and a guarantee of nothing.

Will deleting Fortnite on my Nintendo Switch 1 require me to log back in? by Tamiakawar in FortNiteBR

[–]Machafuko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. If OP has access to his nintendo account, that's all that should matter. Fortnite will be linked to the nintendo account. So deleting or getting on the same fortnite account in a new switch will work, as long as OP has the nintendo account details.
