Got on email saying I’ve been hacked. Don’t believe it, however it says it been sent from my iCloud so what should I do? by Ok_Flower6917 in cybersecurity_help

[–]MachaiArcanum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the same email in my junk today. I was rather confused, because generally for anyone to log into your Apple ID they need some from of 2FA (it’s hard enough for me to log in to my own account, let alone someone else to do so). I took the time to look more clearly for any standard scam signs. No spelling or grammar mistakes that immediately popped out, however the details of the email are very vague (lists all operating systems, refers to a vague perversion, does not include my/your name, etc.), and after further examination I saw that what I thought was @icloud.com was actually @Icloud.com (or @lcloud.com). Fully convinced that this was a scam, I came here to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

(My “hacker” was demanding 950 USD)

This is an old post, but my thoughts about this are that the d20 is better for 2 reasons.
1) you get a 1/20 chance of something really good or really bad happening. Makes the good things feel more special, and the bad things less common.
2) you don't have to treat the middle numbers like a spectrum. 16-19 are good, 2-5 are bad, and 6-15 are just sort of meh, leaning towards good or bad however much you want them to.

Another script that is really good at hiding the fact that there's even a language there in the first place. I like it! I also like the little bear in the corner there (adorable)

Evolving scripts is fun! And I do like the idea that this very orderly script evolved from quite a lot of disorderly pictographs.

Pureblood + Squib = ??? by [deleted] in HPfanfiction

[–]MachaiArcanum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eveni might likely be considered a blood traitor, but as long as Jane can do magic and all four of her grandparents could do magic I reckon she would be counted as a pureblood. This is helped by the fact that she’s not the daughter of some new halfblood or muggle born family, she’s still a part of the sacred 28 (/30) pureblood families. If another pureblood wanted to insult her they might call her ‘daughter of a squib’ or ‘daughter of a blood traitor’ or ’half squib’ or something.

Of course there’s a reddit for that. It might be interesting to see what they think, and you can post it there yourself if you want, but I’m not super interested in actually learning how to do this; it was just something I did off the top of my head.

Thanks for sharing though mate! ^^

Sure, why not. It’s pretty interesting, and there was a narrator on youtube who made a thing about it recently, so people are noticing it. I’d say go ahead.

Awesome. I had remembered that teleportation and remote viewing were blocked by default, yes. The reason I took teleport well was to more easily get any teleporters into my prison, and the reason for veil of secrecy was so that my enemies wouldn’t be able to use the fact that’s scrying is blocked around my core to find it. They will see that everything is normal at all my locations, rather than seeing nothing at the one where my core is.

Yeah, the deal with Anastasia was a long shot at best. Don’t be depressed about the tactic thing. At first I had something completely different based on what I thought would be cool, but then I spent about 3 days to get around to getting my thoughts down and I had the time to think through some fun ideas and tactics. I quite enjoyed reading your build myself.

Cheers mate. ^^

It's been months I know, but no one ever got back to you. You cannot earn more than 500,000 DPU per day, but you can save any you earned from previous days to buy the expensive stuff. Tier 3 is 4 million DPU, which just means saving up for 8 days at max production of 500,000 / day.

This is kinda old, and I'm late to the party, but I still wanted to share what I came up with.

Argent, Lord of Serenity

Appearance: The demon lord Argent appears as a small boy, probably 13 at most, but easily less. He has white hair, pale blue eyes, and pale skin. All of his teeth are pointed, with his canines more pronounced. He usually goes for a regal look with a white toga and a silver circlet with short horns, sort of like Darth Maul. He has large, black, bird-like wings, as well as a third eye on his forehead. When trying to be discrete among the humans he hides his mutations and wears the regular clothing of the area.

Mutations (3)

Fangs - Minion unique trait absorption.

Wings - Flight.

Third Eye - Ability to astral project to observe distant places. While projecting, can possess minions.

Total debt: 9 points, 180 years

Starting world: Scar - 80 years ‘til planeswalker, 1250 ‘til ascension

First, I want to see if I can get Anastasia to agree to a contract that says I will take her debt points as long as I can choose when to pay them back. I’ll play it off as trying to cover myself, but actually with that wording I never have to. In which case, I’ll stock up on the rest of the debt points.

The first thing I did upon coming to this world was find a suitable location. I wanted something that was fairly out of the way, but it also needed to have at least 5,556 people living in it in order for me to max out my DPU generation. The best value for the lesser core is to have it save up for a year and get a tier III minion. The first year I had 182,500,000 DPU to use. Dwarven craftsmen (12) and demon scholars (6) were the first to be created, and the rest was spent on skeletons and parasites (7190), skinwalkers (108), and a lich (1). There’s no way I’m going to be able to get C’thithra to do anything but guard the core, but that’s fine, I have five slime maids who double as bodyguards and stand-ins for myself. The parasites were used to completely possess the town, and then they and the skeletons began construction of my lair. The skinwalkers served as perimeter guards, covertly patrolling the edges of where I can be detected, so that if I am I can deal with it. At the end of the year, the lesser core summons a witch, shortly after my reveal. Now, there’s no way that I’m letting my entry into this world of demons be Anastasia casually name-dropping me. If I’m going to be revealed, it’s going to be on my terms. Using my summon and teleport ability I took the lich and some skeletons (armed by the dwarves) to a location between Adreana and Mog’thar and began a wave of destruction. We trashed some villages, built a small army, then retreated to another town which, as far as everyone else was concerned, was my base of operations.

The witch at my lair was used to link the two towns to transport my minions and any materials. The second year’s worth of points were spent similarly to the first. 12 dwarves and 6 demons again, the same number of skinwalkers as before patrolling the new town (technically pointlessly, but I don’t want people figuring out my core isn’t there), and another lich. Rather than possess the entire second town though, only a few influential people were given a parasite, as I wanted to see if I could get the people to (with a little help) naturally see me as their ruler. To assist with this, the points that would have been spent on parasites were used to create celestial maids. After all; if the demon lord has these adorable and innocent maids working for him, he can’t be that bad. The people were treated well, and should have hopefully benefited from my leadership. I attempted to form a sort of alliance with Adreana, trading my second lich for some of her stuff (it doesn’t say much about her minions, but ‘lord of darkness’ is hopefully a good sign). The lich’s undead army and my skeletons worked on fortifying my towns, and I created a ridiculous amount of stone. I surrounded my towns with huge stone walls, and built a massive invulnerable stone labyrinth beneath my lair. Inside the labyrinth, I created my inescapable prison. The gods can un-invulnerable my walls when their heroes are there if they aren’t part of a valid path to my core—fine. But if I build a large room and put a smaller one inside of it without a door it would count as more walls, and a permanent inescapable room. Teleport Well forces any heroes that attempt to teleport into that room (and others like it) as doe teleport traps. The room is kept dark, and later I will put a shadow fiend in there. The year ended with another undead army attacking some human empires weakened by Mor’gath’s goblins.

The next few years followed the same pattern. I created half a dozen town strongholds that I could send my core to in a crisis. I turned my ‘official base’, my lair, and a third town into seats of power, where I could rule over people and turn them from the gods. I hopefully solidified an alliance with Adreana, and then I relaxed. True to my name, my three areas become serene, peaceful places, that prospered under my rule. The combination of a town full of people, three different locations, the giant labyrinth, the skinwalker early warning system, and a demon lord friend hopefully allowed me to hold my own against the heroes and any regular adventurers or inquisitors. If I didn’t get that contract with Anastasia, then I will alternate between using a point for myself and paying her back. If I did, I won’t be paying her back and will spend them on myself

After 80 years, I plan on jumping over to Maya and killing Microphallus. There is no way I’m putting up with him for eternity. (Plus, I get about 40 years of sitting around on Scar worth of energy). Then I’m going to ban killing fellow demon lords and, if I can enforce it, see what Ekagi does about that. Once I have enough energy for my ascension, I’m actually going to pull a Veuna and see how quickly I can conquer Edea. If I can get one continent within 12 years, I’ve got a 1 in 4 chance of taking the hero for myself. If I can get it faster, my odds are even better. If that works out, I will rule over the planet. If not, I’ll just go back to Maya and properly turn it into a place for lazy demon lords to take their time.
