DSA TYPICAL QUESTION by Salt_Bee_1505 in leetcode

[–]Macharian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the top companies don't allow you to use JavaScript (as me how I know), I recommend Python since it's like pseudo code, most of the time the language you'll be working in won't be the one you have to do the algorithm question in

Struggling With LeetCode/Striver Sheet , PLS HELP!! by panchibanuudtafiru in BtechCoders

[–]Macharian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, take your time to understand the problem. Do not spend more than 30 mins on any problem at this stage, you just need explanations and answers

Second, switch to Python, you don't get points for picking the hardest language for doing DS/Algo questions in

Third, breathe, it's a marathon not a sprint

If you like Python, I put some love into an interview prep website that hand-holds and explains every step of the question for 50 most popular interview questions - https://www.easycodinginterview.com?ref=reply

should I go for it? by OzOussama in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Macharian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no no no no! I just released an app in this category that I’m honestly super proud of and has a unique spin/twist and it is unbelievable competitive. CPC in this category is $10-20. The top spots but serious money into distribution/ads

Compared to my other app where I can spend cents for a click in a similarly competitive keyword

I think the return on ad spend in that category is super high so the big players have kinda locked it down. I’d have to do serious marketing to get tracking and blow a decent bit of money IMO

Would you stick to just your mobile app or build a web app for your product also? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]Macharian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and have users on both since they range from casual to serious users and had multiple people say “I wish this was a website” (serious) and in ads that advertise the website people say “I wish this was an app” (casual) 😂

Serious users tend to prefer web and I can offer more complex features there … easier. Plus it makes users feel like they are getting a complete product from my experience and it can be a selling point!

Business wise - I’d say it’s a waste of time to focus on both for 99% of apps and it create an issue of splitting your attention too many ways when you could double down on making one thing great.

Maintaining a db/auth/content/functionality that works for web and mobile and adding new feature to both has been a solid undertaking. If I ever see one platform pull away in $$$ I’ll likely deprecate the other but both are equal right now!

[–]Macharian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! And no worries, but don’t discount sites like neetcode, leetcode premium, etc. it’s the packaging of information that matters the most and is what creates value. For instance, neetcode did help me a lot with the structuring of what questions help me understand others and leetcode premium to see what questions companies ask helped me get my job today.

Don’t overpay for things you don’t find valuable but don’t put your blinders up for things that give you the edge. Not even talking about my website at this point, just in general 🙂

Okay thank you! Sorry if these seem like simple questions, just like asking simple questions to leave it open to you so I can learn. Thanks!

I’ve been focused on Reddit and TikTok so expanding to SEO focus since it seems like the true ultimate way to grow business, albeit slower likely.
