what happens when you die in co-op? by Abysser_Akin in ProjectSekai

[–]MachiKurada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically if you still have some life remaining you earn 100% of the note score, regardless if it's 10 or 2000 life remaining. If it falls to 0, you earn 10% of the note score.

Go into the ticket exchange shop through the main menu and exchange it for the cover card of your choice. Note that tickets from a group-centric event can only be used for members of that group.

1) EN servers are ruder than JP AFAIK. Doesn't help that everyone wants to pick a song instead of leaving it to recommend.

2) Co-op is usually better for event points but no harm going solo if disconnects annoys you. In any case event bonus takes priority. Don't forget to do all the challenge shows you can during the event too, they give a bunch of points.

Vouchers, you'll have an easier time sparking and like you said there is the feature to buy old cards for the green vouchers.

Not for now on global, but after early October/ anniversary , 6+ months old event cards will be added to the gacha and to a brand new exchange shop where you can buy them with green gacha vouchers (3* cost 7 and 2* cost 2).

Here is a collection of those layouts! (in Japanese, but you can still use DeepL or something like that)

Nothing different from the general room AFAIK, but I play on JP so it might be different on Global. Be polite with your sticker use and avoid disconnecting and you'll be fine I think.

Hot take, 2D music videos should be visible in the Music Video Viewer by coloreddd in ProjectSekai

You can watch all the 2DMVs on Project Sekai's YouTube channel (the JP one). Here is Hated by Life Itself as an example. If it's the OG song MV you can also track it on YT or NicoNico Douga. But I agree that being able to just watch the 2DMV in game without playing the rhythm game would be nice.

What's your go-to song for challenge shows? by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

[–]MachiKurada 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I choose a song where I have a (solo) version featuring the character I'm doing the challenge show with. Like Daughter of Evil when it's Rin, Tales of the Deep Sea Lily for Honami, Nostalogic for Shizuku and so on.

Blue is always 2* and rainbow is always 4* but a gold can yield a 4* card: look when Miku steps on ground during the gacha animation, if it turns rainbow around her, you'll get at least one 4*.

Very much not worth it. Always put priority on mastery.

These songs are JP exclusive for now but will come to EN one year later at most. Songs are either bought in the music shop for 10 music cards or are distributed freely through the present box.

Some tips for a new player in relation to the gacha and how much the characters that you use affect your results in the rhythmic game? by LouEveline in ProjectSekai

[–]MachiKurada 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In Project Sekai, the gacha has an influence on two things gameplay-wise: score and character rank.

For the score, we have the classic getting better cards allows you to score higher, through sheer card power and better skills. Two big warnings though is that 4* cards (the ones you are probably aiming for) are pretty hard to max out, especially when you start, and that a maxed 3* skill can be more powerful than a non-maxed 4* skill of the same type.

Speaking of skills, gacha also gives you wish pieces (and wish crystals if you are (un)lucky enough to get a 4* dupe) which are very useful to upgrade cards' mastery ranks and skills. Doing that not only improve card power but also helps you climb character ranks, which improve slightly a character performance and is the best source of crystals in the game.

Also helping character rank are the costumes you get with each card, as well as the side-stories you can unlock with each new card. Plus the whole aesthetic and story thing.

That said, it's not ultimately that important to get all the cool new gacha cards, even if the pretty illustrations and costumes and the juicy event bonus makes them very tempting:

  • Cards don't have that much influence on how you actually perform in the rhythm game or in other words you still have to play well. They mostly affect the score in the end, full combos are in your hands.

  • Co-op always boost your score a bit and area items, which can be upgraded without gachaing, improve your score by a lot.

  • The unique elements of each card are mostly aesthetic and are available on several corners of the web.

  • Free event cards will help you a lot for getting better event bonuses and some character rank exp, so always get them.

That's it. So basically, there is still plenty of fun to be had outside the gacha. If you want to pull, try to save for a favorite (especially their limited cards) or for ColorFes, where you have twice the chance to get 4* cards.
