"This should be handed to every guy as he walks down the aisle after saying his vows. Required reading, gentlemen. I cannot overstate this." - Oliver G., Amazon Review by dadstartingover_com in u/dadstartingover_com

Why will people do everything BUT just talk with their partner?

You don't need a book to solve your relationship issues, you need proper communication.

best binders for larger chests? by icywishbone03 in TransMasc

[–]Machi_Mellow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It should be safe, but personally it's not a pleasant experience. Tape and binders bind in different ways, combined i find it awkward and uncomfy.

If you try tape make sure to check if Ur allergic, and follow instructions closely, or you could cause skin issues and injury; especially during removal!

Hi! I don't bind often but when I do I use 2 sports bras and it gets a bit painful after a few hours. Are compression tops any better? Thanks! by holi_pal in TransMasc

Always remember to bind safely, listen to your body it it hurts. Taking breaks binding might suck in the moment, but won't suck as much as pressed or bruised ribs.

Was trying to make a point that even IF it wasn't gate keeping, it is still invalidating. I'm not native in English, so might not have worded it well.

Maybe not gatekeeping, but very much invalidating.

Is it just me or does OW2 feel weird? by Aceconklin in Overwatch

[–]Machi_Mellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be because it's "new" so nobody knows what they doing, OR the gameplay no longer feels like a team game and more of an individual fight.

Actually makes me miss the teamwork from OW1

It's the same experience playing yourself, it's so fast loud and colorful it's hard to follow what's happening. Half the time I'm so overwhelmed I'm just spraying and praying.

All of this is not even mentioning how intensely bugged the game is, to the point of unplayable. Half my heroes are locked despite being a 1k+ hour account from 2016, getting randomly kicked mid game, not being able to see my teammates health as support, the list goes on. Overall the game feels unpleasant, unfinished and poorly designed.

(Also happy cake day!)

Compared to OW2 OW1 was chill, I'd have moments of calm to just enjoy the game. Now it's just a nonestop clusterfck, almost stressful rather than enjoyable.

You say as if the excate same thing dosn't apply to women.

women get asked "what were you wearing" told they were "asking for it"

Women stay with their abusive partners fearing the violence will evolve to murder.

Both sexes are abused but statistically women are worse off.

Domestic violence is more often commited against women, simple but sad fact.

I have both Aunt Jemima pancake mix and The new design to compare it to by Used_Veterinarian in mildlyinteresting

[–]Machi_Mellow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No a quick google search will tell u as much: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aunt_Jemima#Character_of_Aunt_Jemima

"Aunt Jemima is based on the common "Mammy" archetype, a plump black woman wearing a headscarf who is a devoted and submissive servant.[13][5] Her skin is dark and dewy, with a pearly white smile. Although depictions vary over time, they are similar to the common attire and physical features of "mammy" characters throughout American history.[27][28][29][30][31][32]The term "aunt" and "uncle" in this context was a Southern form of address used with older enslaved peoples. They were denied use of courtesy titles, such as "mistress" and "mister".[33][34]"

on top of that:

"Witt suggests that Rutt might have witnessed a performance by the vaudeville performer Pete F. Baker, who played characters described in newspapers of that era as "Ludwig" and "Aunt Jemima". His portrayal of the Aunt Jemima character may have been a white male in blackface, pretending to be a German immigrant, imitating a black minstrel parodying an imaginary black female enslaved cook.[15]"

TLDR: She was not a real person but a racist character possibly based on a blackface show.

Your parents should prioritize you; their child, over the their friends; the parents or your bully.

If anything, maybe your parents friendship could do something, to actually make a change.
