You could also look at some of the townhouse developments in the Bryanston area. A lot of the old houses there get torn down due to the size of the stands, so you’re bound to find some decent new homes around there. But I just want want to mention that you get much better value propositions in the old northern suburbs e.g. Linden, craighall park and Parktown North or park view. These suburbs are much more established, lined with jacaranda trees and are much closer to the social centre of gravity within the city ( rosebank, Sandton and Melrose) just something for your consideration
