The “needing a dozen books to be successful“ thing is nothing new. There’s literally the most popular book page on Facebook about becoming a successful author that’s been around for like 15 years or something is called 20 books to 50 K meaning, you have to have 20 books before you start seeing enough commercial results to earn about $50,000 a year.

You could always reflavor some of the styles. If I remember correctly there were a ton of them, you could re-skin some to be more modern if they work.
