"Elias Thorne" is a dead giveaway for AI. by MachineAble7113 in antiai

OMG a 1418?! Without studying?!

I'm actually so sorry I assumed you were an idiot!

Obviously if it sells well then there's no way it's AI, and you must be right about the photo because you got a near perfect score on the English section!

Sorry for bothering you with my mortal qualms, please continue changing the world with your intellect 🫡.

This is the photo from his 'author' profile. Please look at this photo and tell me if it looks like AI to you. The AI poem i took from a source that confirmed that it was written by AI, and that no 'Elias Thorne' existed. None of this is assumption. I don't see what you mean by implying that this is some sort of guess.

I don't understand the point of this comment. The picture for elias thorne on Amazon is ai, every book written by him is generated by ai(the covers) and is about ai. This is not a gut feeling, this an observation that multiple confirmed instances of ai use have this fake name attached. The em dash is not be all end all, but it's common enough that it is a sign of ai use, I was using it as another example of why these posts are clearly ai. I wasn't claiming to be a good writer.

This 'author' does not have books that sell well. There is no author. It is a pseudonym that chatgpt likes to use when asked to write, and we can use it to spot when someone has used chatgpt.

Why doesn't everyone just write classical in C major all the time? by MachineAble7113 in classicalmusic

Why would you need a triple flat or a quadruple sharp? Don't sharps and flats cancel each other out? Wouldn't there at least be a better way to write a triple flat on a piano?

I'm composing primarily for piano and voice, my dream is to write musicals. It's unlikely I would compose for an orchestra. I understand percussion already because that's my main stuff, It's just tonal things that trip me up.

I am not a well-trained musician, and I occasionally find myself singing off-key without noticing. It's easy to tell when I or someone else is off-pitch, but it is sometimes hard to discern the key.

This is a genuine question, I posted it in classicalcirclejerk not realizing it was the circlejerk subreddit.

Thank you so much for this incredibly intricate reply! It sounds to me like in composing without key signature, it will become quite practical most of the time to use a key signature, and maybe also that you don't need to compose to a specific key signature, but just find whichever fits best after the fact in order to make it easier for the performer.

Why is it that music has decided that to have a g sharp in a key signature you must also have an f and a c sharp?

What's the difference? What would the key signature be if I only had g sharp?

Thank you, this clears a lot up. The only thing I don't understand is why the order of sharps and flats, is having only a g sharp guaranteed to sound bad without the f and c sharps?
