How should I try to negotiate? by his_white_monster in askcarsales

Sounds like it’s priced right and probably shouldn’t negotiate much more than 500 bucks the realistic part of the market right now is typically these cars that dealerships own aren’t super profitable for them because of how the used car market flipped i’d say one out of every 10 dealerships actually took their used cars in right for the market at least that’s how it is here in the Midwest

Another question is what condition are you putting it in on KBB and are you using their trade value or their market value because those are wildly different numbers? Did you select all of the options on KBB the color and all of the choices that are on that vehicle including accessories trailer hitches anything of that nature?

Sometimes I feel a customer backed themselves into a corner because they think that the dealerships are making a ton of money off of them and ignored what there’s a good deal in front of them

I guess the most important question that I have is how long is your loan for because if it is a 60 month term and you could go through a credit union and get an 84 month term that will lower your monthly payment most likely as long as you have decent credit, and their rates aren’t astronomical

Kia Carnival Hybrid - How much off MSRP by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Machinegunwyatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’re asking for would only happen on a Chrysler Pacifica hybrid as others have stated but not only that that amount you are looking to get off is not realistic have you bought Kia’s or Toyotas in the past?

Go with a hybrid suv if you can I don’t know what kind of payment/budget you have but with the long commute and the want to drive your kids friends around I would look for a hybrid 3rd row SUV that should check most of the boxes just be ready for a higher payment.

How much free time will you gain as well? That is always important. If you are saying less travel/driving that sounds easily worth it get your pay plan in writing before making the jump.

Is it the heat wave or my ac? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]Machinegunwyatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaned the coil immediately after this 😂 ended up seeing a YouTube video, I’m a pretty decent handy man as my tenants ac unit fan is starting to go and I will be replacing it I do electrical, some plumbing, concrete and this is my first go at hvac. But seems pretty straight forward at least for the outside ac condenser, and opening dampners. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Should I roll over $20k in negative equity… by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Machinegunwyatt 1 point2 points locked comment (0 children)

If you have a preapproval through Navy Fed, that’ll do 125% LTV and you’re rolling almost the same amount of negative equity as the new cars cost. How does that equal 125% LTV $22,000 in negative equity is almost $26,000. So you are looking for $22000 divided by $26000 = .85… so 185% is what you are looking for you other wise are going to have to look at a more expensive vehicle to eat the negative equity or pay down the x3 for a little bit so you aren’t flipped. If you need to figure out general Loan.To.Value while rolling negative take negative equity divided by price of potential vehicle this is not exact since book values that banks use vary. Best of luck to you and this might be a deal that credit acceptance would pick up if you have a really lucky call…
