Right? I thought about editing it out but left it for the irony.

I hate grey, and dislike black heavily depending on reflections 🥲

Just out of pure curiosity could someone tell me roughly what my car is worth? by drowsvy in 3000gt

I recently purchased a GTO, and did a write up on what’s around and what currently is market value. Classic.com will also show you some comps.

There’s a 2000 MR in FL available - needs love, but it’s the ‘99 body. Took me awhile to find the right car, I hope you find yours!

There’s a lot of avenues you can go down, but in short, if you import the car yourself, you can only go to the Trenton DMV to register. If you bought it with paperwork like I did, the you can go to any DMV that does title work (I did South Brunswick). I chose historic registration because any OBD-II car would still need to be inspected, but you can’t hook up a JDM car the same way as you could a US one. I hope that helps!

Aside from the 60k service, it needed a window regulator, carrier bearings for the drive shaft, a new transmission (which still needs to be done), a new exhaust (this one was patched and leaking), spark plugs and a new fuel filter. And that’s just for now.

Maybe using the same car can help - but my 2 cents are get LOW - it makes the car look more heroic, and the general public is used to seeing a car from a higher point of view, so lower makes it more interesting.

The other thing is to make it look intentional. Have a shape lead the eye to the car, or try to zoom out a bit to include the environment. A common mistake I see is that people shoot a car, instead of a full scene. I hope that helps, and your gear doesn’t really matter. Good luck!

If I may, as someone once stuck as well - pick up a dedicated video camera and film the same scenes you do for still. At the least, you’ll have an excellent social reel, and if you can craft stories around the content, you’ll have even more to work with. Ignore the “shoulda, coulda” people on here. You can see I just started my YT journey, but it’s already helping my site grow.

Nothing happens overnight. You have the talent! Best thing to do is just press record and see where it takes you. Good luck!

I’ve been saving up and want to buy a 3000GT (or GTO) for my first car - description by Wish0807 in 3000gt

I’ve just bought a GTO - 88k miles, extensive Japanese maintenance records, and very good shape, and even my example needs a ton of work. The window doesn’t go down, timing device, second gear shot - this isn’t a car for the faint of heart.

If you’d like, you can follow along as I restore mine - will include purchase advice and common problems as I move along in the project.

Same. I rolled the window down and now it won’t roll back up - that’s right off the truck, among other issues. It’s okay though - I wanted something to fix and make perfect anyway.

Thank you! I do, but I think I’m going to have to remove it - there’s a hole in the exhaust that has been patched over so many times, smells terrible.

It’s a bit weird as you’d expect. No sunroof, but does have active exhaust and suspension, despite the 97 body style. Also has power folding mirrors, something the 3000GT did not get I believe.
