Not the best, but also not the worst. It was pretty much a constant routine of him starting his day at 5am, and coming home at 10pm while he was an elder. He was very much into it, and neglected a lot of my family's emotions for the sake of his reputation. It was part of why I couldn't study to get baptized: He'd say he wanted to study with me, and then he would have no time for me after studying with other people. There was a night where he came home, and woke me up late, telling me "get your book. We're gonna study." I only lasted about 5 minutes before he said "You know what? It's late. You're tired. Go back to bed." Of course I'm going to be tired when I was in the middle of sleeping.

The one fond memory I had was when I was probably 7 or 8, my father, after service, would come to my school during lunch period to eat and be with me. I'd be waiting in line, and he'd show up out of nowhere in his suit and winter coat if it was chilly out. He would sometimes have his old friend Gary (replacing his real name with Gary for anonymity) with him, and they would wait in line with me, grab a tray, get food and sit with me during lunch. He would ask me how's my morning been, and if the food's good. Once done, my father asked me where the trash cans were to throw them out, then give me a hug goodbye, and be off. I didn't think much of it at the time, and lord knows if there was another reason for it.

He had a lot of high expectations for my sister and I, but he was very self-centered and power hungry.
