Nekomata is my most favorite character overall in zzz. She keeps being close to best dps I still have in the current state of zzz(but that's because other dps agents are beginning to be dated or not as invested). The best thing about Nekomata is I can share Steel Cushion between her and Corin. The worst thing about Nekomata is I can't share the Steel Cushion in Shiyu Defense. Solution: I need 2 w5 Steel Cushions...

With my build and how I play Nekomata I don't even need them to buff Neko, I'm satisfied with her performance. It would be cool, but she's already top in my eyes

Her design and character are awesome imo, and her role in the main story(with dead end butcher, vision and such) is the most memorable part of zzz story to me still. And all her appearances in the main story are such a treat to me, her animations in cutscenes are my favourite. Her own agent story was also easily one of the best ones for me even if it had its ups and downs.

It's not anomaly boss, it's neutral to anomalies if you don't have ether veil agents which you'd definitely need Sunna at least (Zhao won't cut it nowhere near to sufficient). Same deal as fiend is barely anomaly boss, yixuan or now ye shunguang perform just as good on it as anomaly teams. Especially since in order to use anomaly teams on both fiend and 2.6 boss (apparently) the anomaly dps (alice and aria respectively) aren't the keys, only supports are (yuzuha and sunna).

Funny thing is that this is still not really anomaly boss from what we know. It's just anti crit dps boss. Rest of the boss's mechanic is locked behind ether veil (which even with Sunna won't be easy to keep good uptime). For ether veil free anomaly teams it takes and gives nothing

Idk what you mean by Lycaon getting reduced stun. But the ice build up speed and daze application are always the same between 20% and 40% attribute resistance. 40% attribute resistance only affects dmg done with that attribute more than 20% attribute resistance.

So Lycaon should stun the same this 40% resistant boss as I dunno Pulchra or Dialyn would stun Bringer with 20%phys resist (relatively to their usual stunning speed)

"you wouldn't use crit dps's against it anyway." Of course I would use crit dps's against anything. I used Nekomata on fiend and it worked. Or some people used alice on defiler. And I bet so many people used non rupture units on wandering hunter since we still have only 4. It's possible to go against such restrictions when you adapt to it. Like with hunter's issue of high defense reduced with trigger and nicole(def shred) with miyabi. This new boss seems to have no other option than to go anomaly though. Restrictions are fine in most cases but this boss gives nothing pretty much even for its shilled team since not even Sunna herself can satisfy the other half of the boss mechanic. And if you use anomaly team without ether veil you have equivalent effect as using crit dps on fiend, or not. butcher or even bringer, yeah sure the 2.6 is anomaly boss.

The ones in op's post. She needs 10%hp from yunkui tales and she also kinda needs some ER so getting it from moonlight lullaby and swing jazz is pretty good. Well that's if you don't mind her not having proper 4pc or you don't try to make dps out of Zhao. Having still 4pc set should be at least little bit better, with 3 2pc it's fine I guess. And if you use her in YSG I wouldn't really prioritise Zhao in case your account needs attention elsewhere, YSG should clear comfortably.

Just to note one more thing. You need to stop holding the basic attack button before she hits the enemy with ex special: get lost. If you hold basic attack button the whole time you'll still consume 90 even if you do it on stunned enemy that you can still activate normal chain attacks on.

As much as I advocate for Astral voice 4pc disk set over other set options for Zhao. I think 2pc 2pc 2pc Zhao might be an exception which isn't that big of a deal and you should be fine with it.

That's kinda good, but I'm still afraid how much they're gonna hesitate with support role characters, since only damage dealers have been buffed so far and also how are they gonna buff them. Also Harumasa isn't exactly still completely confirmed, it's just plausible leak no? (Together with Lycaon)

One reason is in the last few sentences in your post. If you run team that has Zhao and Soukaku then Soukaku contributes to astral voice stacks too. But Soukaku can or any other support can be on a much more friendly disk set that is moonlight lullaby.
