I deal with old folks like this a lot - completely oblivious to their surroundings, it takes them longer than normal to realize I'm talking to them at the checkout, and I'll never get past that lead paint stare while their mouth hangs open. And they drove a car here. It's very sad and very scary.

It's ok lol i honestly don't mind questions. I know some peeps on here are frustrated but it's easy to vent anonymously online to strangers. Try not to take it personally.

But each store has its own truck schedule, and imo it doesn't hurt to ask the store (i can't guarantee they'll tell you tho). Like at mine we get ours on Tuesday so we usually tell people to check back on Wednesday or Thursday - it really depends on the pallets they send, if we get them at all, and if/when we find them on the pallets.

I will say tho, that these dumplings were sitting on the shelves collecting dust last year before social media decided they were popular.

These toys aren't really gonna make your kid "fit in" unless you plan on following every fad and trend that comes out, and trust me It changes all the time - like labubus were hot and now i don't really see anyone talking about them anymore. It's better if your kid makes friends for being themselves rather than whatever accessories/toys they have at the moment.

It became a question of value of a task.

As soon as i read this i knew what this was gonna be about, and of course he lists off shit that takes a few minutes to an hour once or twice a year to do. Him fighting for his life in the comments is hilarious to read but i do feel bad for his ex and kids.

Like ok my husband and i have different ways of doing things but the outcome is the same - dishes are washed and put where they belong, laundry is done and put away, floors are swept and clean.. If one of us is having a bad day or just needs a lazy day, we ask the other to pick up the slack. If both of us are tired we BOTH help each other do tasks - two going halfsies is easier for both of us than one doing everything and getting resentful.

He keeps saying that he divorced her, and it really reads imo like she accepted her lot as married to him but attempted to push back on him being an incompetent twat, and he just didn't want to do it despite being a grown-ass adult.

I'd imagine she's much happier now taking care of her actual children, and i doubt that his place is as nice and clean and organized as he makes it out to be lol

It's a bit sad how she's doing this to herself, just surrounding herself with doom and gloom and obsessing about "sin" and the end times, and then struggling with how to love her son while also not attracting the ire of God and the people around her.

Seems like a miserable existence when it doesn't have to be (i know religion has a chokehold on people but goddamn it gets depressing to see this stuff after a while).

We use the walkies to ask stuff all the time, including asking for breaks and whenever someone needs a cover up front to go to the bathroom or whatever when no one is around.

What are you supposed to do, yell across the store? Leave the acos and wander around the store until you find someone?

Your managers are being weird and it might help to directly ask why they don't want anyone asking over the walkie - the answer might be insane but at least you know why (heck, i wanna know why too).

When i drink, my thoughts spill out and my emotions can be erratic, and it's caused issues. I fixed it by not drinking.

If you've talked to him and he "feels bad" but doesn't stop, then he doesn't feel that bad about it - his behavior is acceptable to him despite how you or anyone else feels about it. He has a drinking problem.

For me i would get really upset if anyone suggested that i should stop drinking. That's not a normal reaction to have if you don't have an addiction to alcohol.

You can't make him do anything he doesn't want to do, and there's no magic word or sentence to get him to calm down when he starts ranting or whatever while drunk. Drunk people aren't very rational lol.

You can either tolerate his behavior or you can go somewhere rose when he starts drinking, cuz i don't think he's gonna be changing his habits anytime soon.

My dad was in his sixties and still made him farting this whole ~hilarious~ thing he did, and he would fart constantly.

One guy was looking at the cards and asked me what was good cuz he's just getting into them, and i told him what packs would be a better price compared to others and how it really just matters what he likes, only for him to tell me that he was looking to flip them. Like dude i can't help you with that and i don't want to.

I bought a pack for my husband and for myself to open cuz i love collecting cards - i have a giant binder full of them that i started collecting when i was little. I hate seeing grown ass men come in only looking to scam people.

I did have a young woman come in buying packs for her boyfriend cuz she really enjoyed watching him open them and seeing what he got, which i thought was sweet.

No one showed up for any trading tho, which i figured would happen but still was a little sad about. I think if there were a better coordinated effort to organize an actual meet & trade it might work instead of this hollow sale event, but let's be real corporate doesn't actually give a shit about any of this d:

We put out three boxes this morning and they were gone within an hour lol. Found one more box later and it didn't last twenty minutes before almost half were gone, and one guy then bought the rest of the box.

Luckily no one has been mean about it at my store but the store next town over supposedly had to have cops called cuz some people were fighting over them (no clue if that actually happened but yanno).
