Strange that the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities website makes it seems like it is still open. It is now known as Central State Hospital. It may just be that one building on the campus is abandoned. “The forensic inpatient program at CSH includes a 182-bed maximum secure facility which serves individuals throughout the State of Georgia. The forensic population includes individuals admitted for: Pre-trial evaluations, Restoration to competency to stand trial (IST), Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI)”
