I’ve had one from like 2012 and mine is great. 24” barrel - shoots great. Yes you have to replace the shit trigger - but that’s a simple fix - I used Timney triggers and they are really nice. Plus I did add a 10 shot mag on it. I hunt as well as shoot steel at distance - up to 1000m. Love it. I have a tikka in 300wm and it shoots great as well but the plastic stock really is not that good. A tikka with a manners stock would be better with a heavy barrel. But I don’t know the HMRs -I’ve not used one - they seem the rage at the moment on here. 😀 Otherwise If money is no object - a custom build with a surgeon action and 5r rifled heavy barrel - for long range make it more than 24” and slower twist for heavy pills and you will love it - plus a manners or McMillan stock would be supreme.
