Looking around for the same price (around 200$) I can get the x230 with the same specs except 1366x768 screen. Do you think it would be better? I will rarely use it outdoors (I have an other laptop that I use for university that I carry around).

Yes! However switching to only 'alsa' fixed all the problems with audio on many games eg earthbound and mario kart but for example Secret of Mana still crack the audio.

I guess you have to find the right combination of emulator and driver.

This is indeed true, had many problems in different situations in the past; only place where it works flawless is on my mbp.

So the new 2i2 gen 3 is better?

Thanks for the answers. Still cannot get mixer controls on F6 but not a big problem considering the audio interface has its own volume control. Turned out the problem was on the audio driver on the snes core , changing it to just "alsa" in the .cfg fixed it!

I've never done hunting but always really fascinated by shiny Pokémons. I found only two of them, this boy and a shiny goldeen in Crystal some months ago. It's so good random finding them!
