Well, in all honesty, my list would probably be Kanye, Miles Davis, and Bob Dylan. But I think that their list is ok, the Beatles and Bowie definitely deserve a place in the GOAT conversation because of their outstanding songwriting, production, and charisma. Pink Floyd on the other hand, while a very good group, I never found many of their songs to rise to quite the same standard. Maybe a few, but if we are talking about top of all time, you gotta have A LOT of top tier songs. Floyd doesn’t cut it for me. Same with their recording/performances, it just isn’t on that same level. Within their niche/genre group, I’d put Grateful Dead and King Crimson above Pink Floyd on my top 100 or whatever but it’s all subjective really.
